dunno if anyone needs this but "khara" in arabic is poop

In Mongolian it means "curse", in Greek it means "Joy" and in Sanskrit it is the name of a supernatural being.
Our Khara is almost certainly named after the later.
Also, in India itself, Khara is more common as a surname than a given name and usually indicates Punjabi heritage.

I actually didn't know, thought that doesn't imply having really detailed information about shibari/kinbaku

Eh, that's such a trope these days; you see it in all sorts of manga as gag ^^;

Okay, it probably not gonna happen, but I will be completely fine if this end with threesome.

Isn't she supposed to be Babylonian or something anyway? Strictly speaking? Maybe that just counts as part of the Asia Vampire Administrative Region ...

From the hideously ancient names she casually dropped with the implication of firsthand familiarity she's presumably had ample time to traverse the whole Eurasian landmass (plus whatever parts of Africa she might fancy) very many times over. Reckon arbitrary geographical divisions just... stopped mattering to her a long time ago.

For all we know she could well have been a high muckety-muck among the vampires of East Asia already before Europeans started staking turf there to begin with...

This chapter was such a joy. I love the Aria bitcoin thing, all the reaction faces (obviously), the gushing/development between the new rivals/enemies, etc. Really great stuff here.

Whe can't say the Europeans didn't conquer Japan, wasn't like the other places but the Portuguese had a big influence in a lot of cultural aspects in Japan like the model that they use in school until this day and the bread is the best, the world "pan" comes from "pão" from Portuguese. There was even a period were Nagasaki was under Portuguese administration.

The word "pan" comes from "pan", a Spanish word and before that from latin "panis".

Well, even Japanese Wikipedia says it comes from Portuguese: https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/パン

Also, maybe you guys won't be able to see, but Khara reminds me of this character from a Brazilian comic:

Her name is Mônica/Monica, from Turma da Mônica/Monica and Friends.

Dang this manga is too precious. Khara is really growing on me as the former enemy turned unlikely friend.

Mônica, eh? Well, their characters have points in common.
You know, this is a story full of supernatural beings, so I wouldn't mind if Sací pererê appeared, lmao.
