I like seeing people's different take on what exactly the meaning behind this was, but I just took from it that it's one of those, "this kind of really sucks, but hey, at least I'm not completely alone" type waking up moments. Granted in this setting I'm sure there's a lot of that for both of them. Everyone points out how Acchan seems to be the most effected, but Rii also was over sleeping all curled up at the start. She's the one who brought back the alcohol. They both probably take turns coping with everything while equally trying to help each other get through it as best as possible.

I think sci-fi and Yuri fit perfectly together

She just have a headache, I don't understand the "going insane" scenario every time.. there's people who survive living alone in the countryside, or with only their family, they have each other and they have animals too.

There's a fine question: are there any animals left?? Bugs even? That would put a whole different light on things, possibly.

For some, after reading the whole thing specially the last panel, my view of the first few panels changed. It's like she's already has this anxiety(?) of Rii (whether she's just sleeping soundly or not). I might be overundestanding it though.

Sweet because Rii and Acchan have each other. Bitter because Acchan, although glad to have Rii by her side, isn't coping very well with being one of the only humans left on the planet (for all she knows).

This is just a oneshot, huh? Sad.

That seems to be her kid in the photo, I'm thinking. Telling the other girl to brush her teeth and then checking them, total mom move. Seems likely to be a former husband too, or why wouldn't they talk about that time

I think at the end she is just having anxiety and just thinking if what if Rii suddenly disappear..Then when she wakes up Rii is no longer in bed..Turns out she only wakes up early and having some coffee first..

It was actually pretty beautiful in a sardonic sort of way.

I've been trying to get that one uploaded here for about a year. It's a truly great manga, one of my all time favorites and I've read hundreds of them. It even has a little yuri flavored side plot. For those interested it can be found here.
