I don't think she's gonna kill Kurumi. The chapter cut like that deliberately to tease us, but there's no reason for Shiiko to kill Kurumi. Shiiko doesn't care about dying, and certainly isn't willing to kill someone to save her own skin. Plus it wouldn't even work like that. If she killed Kurumi then the other girls would have nothing to do with her. Even if Kurumi asked Shiiko to kill her, she still wouldn't be using a shovel to do it.

Since Shiiko is holding the shovel, that probably means they're going outside. Maybe they're trying to see if Shiiko can carry Kurumi and still run away form the zombies? Maybe they're going to test if Kurumi can walk among the zombies without them attacking her, like she did at the university that one time? Whatever it is, I think Kurumi is trying to come up with a way where she doesn't have to be a burden on the other girls, and she asked Shiiko to help her.

Well thats it it seems, where is the hope now? all of that was made up by her and how did she get ill? man things are looking really bad for our girls.....

I would imagine like all the other adults did. By enough air exposure. That is the, the bacteria (I think it was mentioned it was bacterial?) mutated enough that it started to affect her.

Yeah, I think it was a virus, but you are right they had a discussion about it with science girl from the university and basically the conclusion was the epidemic had spread and mutated to the point that even airborne exposure has become a vector for transmission albeit a slower one.

That twist about bowman-kun was brutal. I'm starting to get the sinking feeling this may end up as the story of a party wipe. I hope at least one of these poor girls walks away.

Also, I feel really bad about Shiiko-san, if she didn't make Bowman just for the girls, I probably wouldn't have cared as much but I do now

This is probably set up like The Maze Runner or smth. Like the children (teens, in that movie/book) have some immunity in the bacteria (what with it coming from their region and all) and are being tested since they've survived and are not showing symptoms of being ill. I also can't see any happy ending fml.

Their journey ends because they have finally found a real safe place to live at.
