So the maid's a ghost, probably died somehow when Elise was younger, that's sad

Their noses remind me of Utena

A decent sad oneshot on it's own, but I'm curious as to how this works into a longer story

It's sad, but I was expecting the hair to vanish with her.

Man this made me think, if the person you loved passed away and suddenly her ghost comes back to love you once again, would you cling to the past, appearing as though you were insane to everyone else since only you can touch and hear her, until your death living a life full of phantom interactions with your love, or choose to move on to find new love, allowing the ghost of your past love to fade away, never to interact with her again?

Maybe that's why some people choose to be insane because they can't let go of the past and are satisfied with their mental projections, fully immortalizing their love until they die.

Or maybe ghosts exist and we just think they're insane.

amazing!! I don't know what it is with the read left to righttag, but subscribing to it always gets me the real good stuff!!

I was expecting the lock of hair to have some sort of power to keep the maid there even after the night passed, but I guess I was thinking too optimisticly. Gawd, I cried at the end. I don't know how this will progress to become a series but I sure do hope that it isn't about the mistress moving on. Actually, it might lift the mood a bit if the mistress moved on and found another lover, but that would be sad as well cuz the ghost would probably disappear. I can imagine it happening, and it's making me even more depressed...

Pretty interesting, I wonder where this story will go.
I feel like I would be devastated by this manga if it weren't for me playing certain yuri visual novel last year with a similar plot but turned up to 11.

Usually ghost stories are about "letting go" and "coming to terms" etc; it'd be interesting if this went somewhere else. We'll see.
