Also really like this manga- mutual pining is usually portrayed as something that's angsty, so this kind of comedic, light-hearted take is really nice. Very refreshing.

Think you missed the word "before" in the comment you're quoting. Also the reference to that thing of awe, "Ore Monogatari" in which the dating starts pretty early in the story. Warning: Ore Monogatari is not yuri, in fact the male lead is so incredibly beyond manly as to be a parody. But, it's very sweet and funny and has awesome art and great characters and (foam foam foam) . . . ahem. Well, you get the idea.
