That was an unexpected ending to the first chapter.

Damn, her art has improved, just when I thought it couldn't get any better!

I really wish the trope of having all the guys be either rapists or bad people in general was a little rarer, it gets tiring seeing it again and again.

The art level is pretty weird for Jin sensei. It seems like the char buttocks are extra big for some reason and it's quite unproportional. The plot is still pretty good. I would continue anyway since it's Jin sensei

To be fair, chap 2 gives a bit more details, and explains that Takemiya doesn't treat all men as rapists in her manga.

This bugged me. So far, the series has been awfully cavalier about the use of sexual assault against women as a plot device.

The juxtaposition between that grave subject matter and whimsical attempts at comedy is less than comfortable.

Throw in a jarring shift to surrealism at the end (suddenly we're in a magical girl/superhero story???) and I have a hard time figuring out how I'm supposed to feel about it all.

That last one is especially strange when I remember this is written by Jin. I don't recall her ever doing a story this... fantastical.

I like Jin so i'll keep reading. But i did not enjoy the first chapter very much. It wasn't funny, just silly.

Doesn't help that manga typically depict light brown hair as unshaded. Blonde is usually unshaded but with some dark highlight which actually gives it a sort of metallic look but that's not really how it looked here. If you look closely you can see that's the way it's done but it's not as noticeable as most mangakas make it so it's easy to miss.

I don't understand why she calls a normal, modest clothing "a cosplay". For Yae it would be better if Sakura was wearing super short skirts, thight blouses and no lingerie? O.o

Also, I don't see foiled rape attempt. Or maybe I don't see it as much exaggerated.

I know the name Yae from another one of Jin´s works, is this related to something else?
