Good thing they kept the Ichiro reference. I think he's more memorable than people think, but he never hit all that many homers... at least in Seattle.
I can never tell if Nezu is being genuinely otaku over the weirdest things or just putting a lot of effort into trolling Neko.
God bless that girl and her poker face.
I miss the days when Inugami would spend an entire chapter focused on Nekoyama. The fact that her "strike zone" has become so wide in this series is kinda off-putting.

Especially when they make a big deal about dogs being loyal.

nekoyama isn't being super reciprocal, tho, and inugami would definitely be the type to get desperate
i guess this chapter made them an official couple????
For Inugami, they were a couple from the start. For Nekoyama, it seems like she's accepted her own feelings, which may explain why she's been so much more open (at least, as much as a tsundere can be).
Those pages with all the girl archetypes were absolutely glorious.
Ichiro is definitely a "hit everything" kind of player, but not a prolific home run hitter. He's all about that safe single, which this manga can probably twist into innuendo all the same. So the reference is close enough, I guess.
