This feels very Masamune Shirow, I love it.

The last part where the three original characters show up isn't really necessary (albeit they look alike Mikado's gang).

Well technically the movie ending did show it was possible. YC/KG body types both exist, Yachiyo can clone herself, all 3 performed together at the end. And even if it wasn't shown... 3P is fun and people would come to that conclusion eventually lol. (Edit: Also tbf, Kaguya is usually treated as pre-8000 years self and Yachiyo as the post-3000 years self. Kind of like inner child vs adult. So they're different but essentially the same.)

Which is funny because the official content we just got post timeskip (the eating spinoff) reiterated that KG body Kaguya is still Yachiyo just in a body that resembles her old one.
(Though she does still seem to be cloning herself and acting as both sides of herself for reasons I can't really grasp beyond wanting to give her wife all of her at any given time ig. Out of universe the reason is marketing.)

Oh wow I remember this from when Norainhere (i think?) linked it's donmai-TL from another thread on here. Back then I thought "Hey, could atleast CLRD that stuff" before seeing some of the later pages and deciding I prolly want to see my family again this decade ... peppermint_grinder, your sacrifice has been noticed.

Though she does still seem to be cloning herself and acting as both sides of herself for reasons I can't really grasp beyond wanting to give her wife all of her at any given time ig.

Not to get too pushy with an Plural System headcanon, but I think "letting our your inner child" is genuinely something Yachiyo needs (and deserves) after millenia of guiding civilisation and stuff. She's still Kaguya after all and Yachiyo is just her persona "on the job".

Yay, glad to see this here. Thanks Gouma-Den.
I'm not sure if they're also working on them but there are also a few bonus pages focused on Iroha reviving Roka, Mami, and Black Onyx as briefly mentioned here.

I could be wrong but from what I understand based on the spinoff/sequel manga and the blu-ray commentary, canonically the original Yachiyo transferred herself to the KG (Kaguya) body; she still has all of her memories of her time as Yachiyo. The other Yachiyo shown in the epilogue is a clone, presumably made to help maintain Tsukuyomi? But Iroha is still planning on developing the YC (Yachiyo) body for her too. She really is the greediest lesbian ever

Of course, the manga and blu-ray were released after this doujin first came out so the depiction of Kaguya in Reunion Again is probably using the common "Kaguya with only her pre-Yachiyo memories" interpretation.

Oh I loved this!!
Espcially liked the beginning dwelling on what it would be like for the transfer to fail
Very heartbreaking

Im glad the three can live on in eternity/or 8000 years more together!

I honestly dislike all these doujin that portray Kaguya and Yachiyo as separate entities. It's a gross misunderstanding of the movie.

The one in the Kaguya body is Yachiyo. And Yachiyo is Kaguya who ended up crash landing on Earth 8000 years ago. Kaguya and Yachiyo are one and the same. There is no one else.

I am very amused at how some of this discourse around Kaguya and Yachiyo resembles early Christianity’s schisms over the precise nature and relationship between God (Yachiyo) and Jesus (Kaguya) and the holy ghost (maybe the Yachiyo clone at the end of the movie). Don’t take this too seriously though!

I feel that this interpretation / misunderstanding(?) of the film's ending comes from the final shot of the three of them being together. While it would have made more sense for the story to start with Kaguya × (Teenage) Iroha and then switch to Yachiyo × (Adult) Iroha, the director and the rest of the creative team wanted the three characters/actors to be all together in the end.

Anyway, I really liked this work. There are some more chapters to this doujin that dive into the presented concept and it is quite interesting.

I am a proponent of high-kaguyology modalism, and everyone else is a heretic~

I'm like sure it's probably a misreading, but it's a fun misreading that opens up lots of interesting scenarios, so I'm willing to just roll with it most of the time.

This was really interesting. Immortality and long timeskips to the future like this always leave me with odd but not-unpleasant feelings I'm never quite sure how to process.

Modalism, an ancient heresy confessed by teachers like Noetus and Sabellius which espouses that Kaguya is not two distinct persons but that she merely reveals herself in two different forms. This heresy was clearly condemned in Canon 1 at the First Council of Constantinople in 381 AD and those who confess it can not rightly be considered a part of the Church Kaguya. Come on, Patrick.

Why are we discussing theology in the comments lol, is this a sequel to the Madoka doujin discussions carry on, I'm listening

This is the type of doujin I was hoping for after the movie. Yes, I love romance and fluff, but I also like fanworks that explore the setting and the possibilities it sets up. Old woman voice Reminds me of the mid-2000s Nanoha fanfic community on fanfiction.net.

While it would have made more sense for the story to start with Kaguya × (Teenage) Iroha and then switch to Yachiyo × (Adult) Iroha, the director and the rest of the creative team wanted the three characters/actors to be all together in the end.

I think that can easily be explained thanks to these pieces of information we have:

1) Iroha made a Kaguya body for Yachiyo so the latter can interact with her in the real world.

2) Yachiyo can make copies of herself in Tsukuyomi

With just these two facts, we can piece together the ending easily. Yachiyo probably takers Kaguya's form whenever she's hanging out with Iroha, because Iroha prefers it that way. I mean, if she didn't, why would she make a KAGUYA-looking body for Yachiyo instead of a body that looks like Yachiyo? Iroha clearly has her preferences and I assume Yachiyo would be happy to comply. But, while Yachiyo is screwing around with Iroha while looking like her former self, they need someone to take care of Tsukuyomi. So Yachiyo would make a copy / clone of herself to do just that while she's fucking around.

So that's it. At the end of the movie we see the three together because we have Iroha, Yachiyo (looking like Kaguya), and the Yachiyo copy / clone. This fits the information we have without contradicting the plot. Yachiyo and Kaguya are only one person, not two. The other Yachiyo is a copy, a clone.

Right, but that still gives us two separate Yachiyo's with distinct streams of consciousness/experience after the split, as opposed to one Yachiyo puppeting the robot from Tsukuyomi while also controlling her avatar.

Which is fine! But seems some people prefer one Yachiyo to two.

Iroha mentioned YC type body so it seems she made both.

As 3 is greater than 2, so Kaguya-Arianism is superior to the Modalist heresy!
