HBR has lots of canon couple: These two, Megumi x Tama, Adelheid x Mari, Ichigo x Aoi, Kura x Monaka, and the main couple Ruka x Yuki.
Jun Maeda as its writer said that Ruka's the main character while Yuki's the main heroine. He even defended this idea after several other staff concerned of it.

It's not I and the other two hate bisexuality, it's just we see that this fanart out of the place.
There are LOTS of other YURI fanarts from YURI SERIES out there that deserves more recognitions. Why bother scavenging from a ridiculous harem series if the yuri fanarts from yuri series are like fishes in the vast ocean out there?
Also the argument of "the guy has personality" is the same argument the developers of Blue Reflection Sun used when they tried to justify the existence of a male MC in the circle of girls which leads them to their doom.
