Huh. Talk about some call of the void lines of thinking.

"A girl learns to express herself by vividly imagining melodramatic yuri tragedies" is an interesting premise. And once you know it's all in her head, it kinda moves from sad to funny.

She is just like me. I tend to daydream shit like that.
I really like the silliness plus uneasiness, it makes it funny, the artstyle is perfect for it too.

Also, if someone know, can they tell me where the idea of bodies under cherry blossoms (that give them the pink color) comes from? I see it so many times but idk where it come from

Honestly as someone who has a tendency to catastrophize, I don't really see the humor in this, sorry. Short hair girl is a mood FR FR

Is the protagonist supposed to be relatable, or is that a really bad sign?

Genuinely had a WTF moment in chapter 1. Seems like a fun slice-of-life-ish story tho.

Honestly even a few pages into chapter 1 it was pretty funny, though it didnt really click what the story was about until the end of the chapter

It is a really bad sign that the protagonist is relatable, and also the protagonist is supposed to be relatable. Which is a really bad sign for society broadly, I'd wager.

DDDDD:
Well.. that's intrusive thoughts for you orz

I have lots in the past
Not sure about now
But.. just imagine the scenarios do make people cry
It hurts

If someone or even the cat that I care the most just passed away in front of my eyes.. I couldn't accept it.

Death itself is something that made me realize how fragile life is
One day you're still alive
And the next day, you may gone
And when you're gone, you can't reset and come back to life
When you're gone, you're... just gone

No matter how hard you try to find that person or cat or even the animals that you care, it just gone

It'll never come back
That's when I believe, maybe
Maybe there are other universe that they just fly to, and from there they could live a better life

A life better than this world

Life is so fragile
Like a glass
Once it's broken it can't be sealed
It can't become one it used to be
It's sooo fragile
It breaks easily
It's the only thing that when it's gone, it's gone
It just...gone

The pacing is definitely humorous. The abruptness of each escalation is what suggests comedy. The fantasy is melodramatic and well beyond what the topic requires. Then we're abruptly thrown back to the quotidian setting of an idle conversation. Like much comedy, it's not funny when you take it seriously, but that doesn't mean it's not comedy.

Are the deaths literally, or just imagine? or one of them literal?

I love you dark intrusive thoughts yuri manga!!!

Are the deaths literally, or just imagine? or one of them literal?

Imagined in both cases. The manga's gimmick is that she keeps imagining incredibly morbid scenarios, and that the exact construction and presentation of those scenarios is heavily trope-referential. What I enjoy about the manga, and I assume what some others also do, is that it's very self-aware without getting cocky about its self-awareness. Rather than using something like fourth wall breaks, that just tell you that the mangaka knows what they're writing, it shows you that they know what they're doing by hammering out five or six classic tragic yuri tropes in the span of a couple pages, each one distilled to the point that we only see the essential beats of it. It's subtle, but it's really only possible to make art like this, IMO, if you're very, very experienced with the genre you're riffing. I appreciate when an author plays with a genre they clearly love like this.
