This series is so weird.

But she also somehow just bought an apartment to move in with her girlfriend ... at age 17.

Sometimes I wonder if the author's only exposure to romance were the works of Itou Hachi.

That's only part of the problem. Ruka is also 17, and yet she's a hard-boiled bodyguard for Chiharu, and she appears to have killed someone already. Another graduate of the "Facility"?

They're picking strawberries but it doesn't appear to be a farm. Maybe a greenhouse or other indoor agricultural facility. Seems reasonable that they might have setup the chocolate fountain as a way to draw in visitors.

I think I've figured out a rough equation to explain how tall Sakura appears at any given time.

Depicted Height = (Actual Height) / (Excitement Level)

Also, yes, the strawberry farms with chocolate fountains are absolutely real.

Jeez man, three hours of walking!? Ruka just should have bought Sakura's ticket for her, and told Sakura that paying for her ticket would be worth less than the time it would take to walk her home.

i feel like it's p clear about the idea here being a "naughty kids staying out after curfew to play" kinda deal. really don't get any cheating or actual betrayal of trust vibes from this

Yeah, I think this was the intention. Sure, Saaya might not see it as cheating, but Sakura if explained will likely go into that. Also to the ones just ignoring the damn fact one of them just started damn crying asking for a promise to be the "only one" that gets to have this type of fun, yeah it damn feels like cheating even if it isn't. Subtext, people.
