I remember when I was in high school, way back in the 00's, that 'earring only in left ear' was indeed a subtle(?) declaration of homosexuality for men and women. Not sure how widespread it was, or if it was actually true. Kind of amazing to see it in a manga in freaking 2026.
Art is lovely, and I like the yandere slant to it. Felt very 'youthful', where Satsuki's anxiety spirals at the hypothetical that Haru-chan is being taken (or, rather, has already been taken).

I got the feeling that the focus was comphet when in Ayame's flashback you see her "love questions" survey thing has "man" crossed out and person written in where it asks her preferred type. That was the one detail that convinced me this was about Ayame's struggles with chasing something she doesn't really want and suppressing what she does want.

I agree the ending felt rushed, as it didn't seem like something that should have been resolved in one chapter - I would have liked to see a bit more walkthrough of Ayame's headspace, rather than the bar girl wrapping things up with a epiphanic "everyone has their own normal" and essentially being done with it. This is one of those stories where I think the epilogue could be as compelling/interesting as the main story - Ayame now has a lot of life navigating to do after she's given up on "normal", essentially reinventing her life drives. An epilogue would also be very slice of life and cute, which is totally my jam so I'm biased.

[Ch 60] I feel like this is the first time I've actually acutely felt the age gap is weird.
Sakura says a very child-like "I'm not supposed to talk to strangers", and for whatever reason because she said that to Saaya's mother I really re-assessed the age gap ("only" 6 years, but between a (AFAIK) 17-yo and 23-yo)... which, were I to be honest, if this were Real Life (tm) I would probably be pretty squicked about - regardless of genders involved.
I don't know why it hit so hard this chapter, but suddenly I was less okay with the age-gap - both mental and chronological. This coming from someone who likes My Maid Mel and has no issue with that age gap and power imbalance (no, I can't explain that either).
This makes me postulate that Sakura is kind of weird as a character, because she is 1) living alone, 2) not going to school, 3) gainfully(?) employed(?), and 4) significantly naive and ignorant. None of those things gel with "17 years old" and unless she's been homeschooled (is this a thing in Japanese culture?) I don't know how she would be "like she is".
Maybe I just said all this to say, that Ch 60 finally broke my suspension of disbelief and now I'm looking around wondering how I got here?

I laughed a lot at the last panel. Why such a weird and creepy alien design? The juxtaposition of that weird demon/monster-looking alien on the toilet, hands-on-kness, was too much!

Takina being embarrassed that she doesn't know how to/can't set the mood with the "ends justifies the means" was cute.

Seriously, can this series can any more saccharine sweet? I hope so because I'm here for it, though Ch 36 will be hard to top. My inner romanticist is still full from that.

I've seen more ShuuKura on danbooru, too, so people are definitely searching them up more I think. I think angela's translation has continued to catch on for it's high quality (and she took on another series, too) so the visibility is higher.
Also, four months ago Yen Press official licensed the Light Novel version for English translation; first volume comes out in October. Am I allowed to hope that people are getting hyped up?

I don't know if this is a Bang Dream thing or a Lyy thing, but Anon immediately thinking about nomming on Soyo's head is hilarious, and that's part of the life together she automatically imagined. Spoiler: this factors into at least one more of Lyy's comics about AnonSoyo, or pretty much all of them it you consider if "just" a biting habit.
I don't know if I can ever ever watch MyGo because Lyy's version is too amazing.

Lyy's comics are almost always hilarious. I love that they are "silent" comics and don't rely on dialogue. I've never seen Bang Dream, but Lyy has nonetheless converted me into an AnonSoyo believer. My favorite is the one where they are both looking at their phones... you know the one (and if you don't, go check out all of Lyy's stuff, it's worth it).

[Ch 1 ~ 3] This is interesting. Cool designs, too; Azu with her horn and Kino with her cerebrally-attached jellyfish.
When Azu gets 'awoken', what's the original that she's yelling? I suspect it's "tadaima", but that surely would have been broken up into "{I} {am} {back}" between the three bubbles. Mysterious.
I wonder what the linkage is between Azu's immortality and Kino's ability to "wake her up". To the point where I'm not sure that Azu is actually immortal? From Ch 1 & 2 it seems like once Azu "dies" that's it - she's out of commission, and Kino has to restore her. And then in Ch 3 we already have backstory teasing and foreshadowing - it's doing a lot of work!
Honestly kinda hyped to read this and see how it goes; this kind of setting and character development is quite high level, so it's always interesting to see how authors/mangaka/etc pull it off.

I'm curious about Hana's non-skin-showing clothes: she's got an undershirt, hose, and gloves. The only skin she's showing is neck and up. What is she concealing? Is she sporting scars from her time as a mahou? Does she have some awesome magical tattoos as part of being a magical knight when she's in her civilian form? Or is it just to tease me and make me create all kinds of increasingly wild theories?

This series is simple but cute - I like it. As others have said, I really want to know more about the context of Junna's heel-face-turn. Also, I want to see the rest of Hana's team. Magical knights are my weakness...

When Sugar faked(?) us out with pretending (?) the series ended/got axed, I was for real ready to riot. Right after the time skip (and then skip back), too! I like how the story is naturally revealing/teasing so much more about the characters with the setting of the time skip.

It's beyond the scope of the original story, but I would have liked to see what magical girl retirement looked like for them. Especially since Azusa was notably older than Harumi. Especially given Azusa's self-esteem issues revolving around both her magical girl activities and her social life, it would probably be really cute and sweet.

Just typical roommate behavior here. /s

I'm glad the story didn't take the opportunity to go full scene of carnage; it's been a very chill, leisurely stroll into gay awakenings, navigating what it takes to realize and admit that the person you like may not be conventional, and the conversations that come with that.
Honestly, so far, the most dramatic person has been... Ritsu, what with all the gay meltdowns and mental gymnastics. But once she admitted to herself that she likes Tsuzuri, even that stopped.
