I finally came around to read this and honestly I totally thought the singer was like in her twenties at most and they were gonna meet her on stage and be like omg we are singing with our idol or wtv BUT SHE'S HER MOM?!
Now the cool singer I had in mind became a total failure of a mother what do you mean you left one of your daughters and cut all contact with her to like train the other one and make her a brat?? Like why
I hope that is not just overlooked and she turns out to be mom of the year for making sacrifices and what not

I keep reading Haru with the kind of cutesy voice characters with her personality and /or design usually have, before remembering that the whole point is that she don't have that type of voice. :D Seems like i'm too used to imagining character with a type of anime voice based on their designs.
I guess i'll listen to Mitsuki Saiga when i read this to force me to give her a deeper voice.

Yes and no, a true author let the character take a life of their own. If the character personality/background is such that they wouldn't want to kiss yet, the author will not make them do it
Meanwhile if it is such that they would kiss, then the author can't stop them.
I'm exaggerating of course, but you can kinda feel the difference between a development that unfold naturally from previous events and one that is pushed by the hand of the author.

I will say It's the right thing to do it. Yuu really did kinda just spring it on her and she knows Haru is a ball of nerves and a giant mess because she has zero confidence in herself. But now that kinda all but proves they're gonna win right?

Revisiting the previous extras and Haru’s heart for Yuu is quite a bit smaller than Yuu’s heart for her, which I found a bit funny. Poor Yuu, but I’m sure Haru will figure out her feelings soon enough.

I kinda saw this coming, and just...who cares about earning the approval of the mom and sister that left the girl she loves behind? Our main duo need to make their own happy future together. I guess though we need the tension and drama to build up a bit more until they're dating proper lol

I hope it's at least another 2 volumes, feels like we need more time to explore everything with the contest, their music, the family dynamic, and then the relationship.

I feel like there's quite a bit left to cover that I'm not sure how they would be able to fit it in 4 more chapters (if it were to only go to the end of vol5.)

If we assume next chapter is round 2 which Haru stated this chapter was a month away, then we still need would need to do round 3 afterwards, resolve the family stuff, potentially do a debut once they're fully in the company, resolve the Haru / Yuu, and explore Hikari a bit more.

I think it's fairly safe to think it'll go to at least 6, unless Kashikaze REALLY crams in stuff in these chapters or we get some crazy time-skips.

on one end, i think the beats can sometimes be a touch clumsey? but it feels really.... made with heart too! like the artist really put a lot of themselves into it. plus i love how adorable those two are.... expecially haru. really nice series ty for translating, excited for these two to find happiness and success!
