Have some mixed feelings about the series right now, and it's all about Yuu's family dynamics. Kashikaze's art is the best it's ever been, Haru is great as always, but I think the series has been a bit messy ever since Ruriko and Miyuki became actual characters. So far, there's not enough time to share between the main trio and Yuu's family, so they don't get as much development.

I honestly wouldn't really mind if Yuu forgives her family. Since Ruriko was kind enough to comfort a random crying child, she can't be an absolutely awful person. But, I want it to be earned. Yuu clearly harbors a lot of trauma from the divorce, Miyuki's essentially harassing Haru, and I don't want all that to be handwaved away. I'd be pretty disappointed if Yuu just accepts them back into her life.

Kashikaze has proven to be a bit cleverer than what her premises suggest at first. I wasn't expecting Miyuki's nepotism to be brought up later on, but it was. She also made Sora's mom from Lonely Girl, so I know she can write a character who's difficult to forgive (if not impossible in Sora's mom's case). I hope my worries are proven wrong.

One interesting thing I noticed was that every time Kasumi goes to bed, she thinks of Karin. Whether directly like here or indirectly like her dream of Haruyo in chapter 13. Maybe I'm projecting my own experiences here, but it's like she has to keep herself busy with life because the moment she rests, she will inevitably think of Karin.

On mangadex, I saw a comment talking about while it ends on a hopeful note, Kasumi still has a long way to go. She's still sitting on the edge, she's still grasping the brooch to ward off Karin's ghost. In my opinion, if there's going to be a happy ending for this manga, it won't be complete without Kasumi and Haruyo both seriously reckoning with Kasumi's issues. Again I may be projecting, but they feel like they run deeper than what just a middle-schooler's cheeriness can fix. Of course, I now have absolute faith in Igarashi Jun and these lovebirds to make a satisfying ending.

I was worried that this series may become edgy for the sake of being edgy with the boxcutter couple, but these past three arcs have proven me so, so wrong. There's just so much genuine emotion and love put into this. I feel such a newfound appreciation for yuri, flowers, and even manga as a whole. It's even affecting how I act in real life; I'm catching myself making suicidal jokes more often (edit: as in I'm catching myself when I make them, not that I'm making them more often). This series is truly a masterpiece.

Kasumi’s always been drawn as cutesy, so that look of sheer horror on her face at the end is so heartbreaking. Suicide is always tragic, but it feels especially moreso happening to someone so innocent.

Revisiting the previous extras and Haru’s heart for Yuu is quite a bit smaller than Yuu’s heart for her, which I found a bit funny. Poor Yuu, but I’m sure Haru will figure out her feelings soon enough.

Looks like the next arc is going to be about Kasumi's friend. I have a feeling this is going to be the most heartbreaking one yet, which is saying something.

Seeing white clovers be used as a symbol of a wholesome, innocent relationship is a bit funny coming from Dear Flowers that Bloom in Days of Yore lol. Cute as always tho!

Guess Kashikaze got a bit tired of writing completely wholesome oneshots lol. It is cool to see her branch out into other types of stories. I'm not big on any toxicity in my romance, but Kashikaze just writes characters so well that I still enjoy her toxic stuff too. I wonder if she'll ever make a non-wholesome full series at some point.

Also this reminded me of that one Lonely Girl arc with Wakana. The one where she reunited with her childhood friend who had a boyfriend now. When reading that, I was a bit worried that the other girl would leave her boyfriend to be with Wakana (I don't think a breakup, even a het one, fits that series), so I was glad it resolved wholesomely. It's kind of interesting to see how that could've turned out differently.

Speaking of Ado, anyone else seen Ado's new MV for Haru ni Mau? The girl in the MV even has pink hair and eyes (and that bunny can be Kashikaze). Claiming this now as Haru and Yuu's love song.

Himemiya did not have to do poor Haru like that (Haru is so literally me fr fr)

Was fun to see her back though. I also like that while Haru's voice is great, it's not perfect. If I had a critique of this series, it would be that the characters can sometimes get past obstacles too easily, so it's nice to see that she still has to work towards something.
