There's one thing I don't get. This person has been in their current body since it was two, and they decided to commit to it back then. So why now are they still going "Oh, I better do this teenage girl thing to better understand teenage girl-ness"? They've had the same amount of normal growing up being a present-day girl as all their peers, they should already know what they're doing (well, as much as any teenager does).

I feel like that "as much as any teenager does" is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Yeah, I don't think I've really understood a lot of concepts of "normal" for myself at any point in my life, including gender stuff. So as I teenager I didn't know what was "normal" and I still don't as an adult lol

Comedy reasons, no deeper meaning really

man the art is so cute but the age gap is weird and the reincarnation thing is lame. they don't meet and connect (or reconnect) and fall in love; they're already both mutually in love. they just cant do anything because ooma's 12 years old now (and a girl, which hopefully will get expanded on more??? like how does she feel about it, how can she connect with riri over it, etc.). what's the point here? i just don't get it. just feels like a mishmash of keywords in place of considered story elements. it's just the first two chapters though i guess...

This is so peak. I love the concept, age game, demons, and reincarnation, and the teasing with underlying hidden angst but lots of fun good romance. Progression seems pretty good per chapter too.

And yes he does remind me of Laharl

Adorable. ^_^

And looks like she's learning from her past life's mistakes now.

okay with chapter 3 we've really started locking in the rythm of this series, Ooma thinks about things she wants to do with Riri has a flashback about it and remembers that actually she's a huge wuss and needs to properly do the thing she just always left up in the air.

Also I see we're about to meet a "him" my bet would have been on the sword wielding third guy on the cover of chapter one but that seems to just be the newly named retainer, Zai, which does actually up his chances of showing. I'd guess he used to also be in love with Riri and took every chance he got to try and get her to give up on Ooma potentially going so far as to betray and kill our demon lord.

Ah, so she's a lolicon. Nice.

The scary looking guy is probably another demon asking Riri about Ooma. I am going to assume they didn’t reincarnated and instead went to search for the Demon Lord. I don’t think he is in love with Riri (I hope no, too cliche) Picking someone up from work is always seen as something your partner would do or for a date or done by someone with that “type” of intentions, so I assume the workers assumed that he is following her to ask her out but it's all a misunderstanding.

I still thinks is silly that Ooma should have confessed and made the advances, this chapter implies that it was “improper” for either side to make moves but if Riri is annoyed by Ooma not asking her out on their previous lives and Ooma says she was insecure then that mean there was enough flexibility for either side to ask for a date (and confess) then Riri could but she didn't confess or take the initiative either. I get that is gap-moe characterization for Ooma but still silly lol

Riri being a lolicon is fucking funny lol Love it

"It'll be the first time asking someone out on a date during this lifetime! A momentous occasion!" Irony that we already saw in a flashback he was too chicken to ask her at all lol.

I actually thought her date plan leaving the flower and letter was pretty smooth ngl.

Also "HIM" I'm going to assume is probably the person those two women were gossiping about that kept trying to hound her into going out. And is also a demon from before. And I'm also going to assume Riri shot him down in the demon world and said person found out it's because she was in love with Ooma and is possibly the person that killed Ooma before he was resurrected into the adorable girl she is now? I agree it could be this Zai person since they're the only other demon we've been introduced to but we shall see.

Congratulations, Ooma, you get to be a pretty lady's dressup doll. Living the dream!

...Why do I get the impression Zai has been nursing a crush on the demon lord for two lifetimes now?

With that Chekov's Gun being SO obvious it might be funny if nobody actually shows up.

Took her long enough to notice, but that's another past mistake fixed. ^_^

In every chapter, Riri keeps amazing me by how much she loves that goober Ooma, and Ooma keeps demonstrating how little he (specifically referring to Ooma's past life) has done to deserve that love...

Ohhhhhhh, so then Zai could have floated the flower field not as a wingman trying to get his useless straight man boss to finally make a move, but because he himself wanted to go flower viewing with his Maou-sama? I can see it, and that crush would be as doomed as hilariously chaotic to introduce now, so I hope you're right~

And he's the "him" that's been pestering Riri... not because he's into Riri, but because he's been asking if she's found Maou yet.

In a monarchy, no matter how good the relationship is it would have been absolutely impossible for Riri to actually ask Ooma-sama out, and it would have been purely at the whim of the monarch himself. Unless she herself could be a candidate for a legitimate marriage, at best she might have ended up a consort and at worst, been executed for being a weakness/"handle" for others to use to manipulate the demon lord.

I'm absolutely convinced Ooma was just too chicken to ask her out directly... And her first reflex was to do the same again. It really fits everything we know about what their previous relationship was like.

I suspect it's more that in her previous life, there was an excuse to pretend the dates were something else. Now she doesn't have that excuse anymore and she's actually trying to move forward.
