Huh...Interesting series, cute silly and light hearted so far. I hope to see more XD

Check author: Minori Chigusa and Teren Mikami???? Hmm...Wonder why this manga is has both of these authors listed, minor system error mistake on this site or are they working together to make this series (Like one of them being the artist while the other being the author/idea plot person??)

Teren Mikami is exclusively a writer and Minori Chigusa is doing the art.

Also side note, we made a minor mistake regarding the new character's name, it's read as Yura instead of Yui, which has now been fixed.

What is the correct way to eat caviar?

I dunno "the" correct way, but my parents would spread it over Melba toast (a kind of cracker, and possibly the 'slab' the girl referred to), possibly with cream cheese or sour cream in between.

Also, you should like the taste of caviar. If not, don't force it!

The most common way it’s served in the west is on melba toast with finely chopped egg or cream cheese. Options include super finely chopped onion and/or finely chopped parsley. It’s typically served as an appetizer.

Even on the Japanese side, caviar is recommended to be eaten on small bread-like 'slabs' such as crackers or baguette alongside other ingredients such as egg, cheese, salmon or vegetables similar to bruschetta or canapé.

I also did some searching too, and the brand of caviar they're eating in this chapter is actually a real brand, and it costs almost 23,000 yen for a small jar of 25 grams.

Although the real thing comes in jars instead of tins, I looked at similar-sized tins that were around 30 grams.
The highest number of tins that can be seen in a single panel is 7, that would make the total cost of the caviar they ate at least 159,138 yen (or 1,056 USD/978 EUR).

The use of the word 'kin' is throwing me off here. I'm pretty sure they mean 'kine'. If a vampire bites someone and they become kin of that vampire, that implies they are becoming a vampire as well. Kine is an archaic term for livestock that more than one piece of vampire fiction has used as a common term for us bloodbags on the other hand, and here it seems fitting as a specific term for 'enthralled servant/sippy cup'.

The TL does not. The word is 眷属 'family/dependants', but it can also mean 'underling'.

Ok but Ruka in glasses is hot. Does she normally wear contacts?

She does say that in chapter 9.

Was she surviving on ugly bastard's blood until now to be so weak to maidens?

The lines about sweets, wine and her buying tomato juice from the supermarket makes me believe that vampires in this series don't need blood to survive.

Yeah, that’s true. I assumed it was possible in this case though because Mirai said she used a gene bank or whatever so I just chalked it up to future technology. You’re the uploader though so it makes sense that she’s not their daughter. Thanks for translating this and all by the way; I’m loving this so far.

I'm just the editor, and it's not like my interpretation is always the correct one.

I thought it was some of that innovative future gene bank technology Mirai mentioned that let this happen, but that makes sense since it doesn’t make sense at all even with some future technology.

You seem to be misunderstanding what we said, it's very much implied that Nozomi is genetically both Kako and Mirai's child, but it's not possible in our time with our current technology.
Kako doesn't believe Nozomi is her child, and her mother doesn't know that Mirai is from the future.
As an example if I said I spent my summer vacation on Mars, no one would believe me either.

I’m a bit confused how the mom is taking this information so well since Mirai actually told her the truth. Did they just pass it off as a joke and go with that excuse they came up with? It seems like that to me since she doesn’t think Nozomi is actually Kako’s daughter but I’m not sure.

Is this the part where I have to remind you that two cis girls can't have a baby together?
Even Kako herself doesn't believe that Nozomi is her daughter.

Not sure why there is harem talk with what we’ve seen thus far. She seems quite overwhelmed with one human. If she’s been cut off by the family (maybe implied with this being a recent need after 400 years) and needs to fend for herself the power imbalance might be fun with the human having the smarts.

One being the author, two the plural of Girls in the title.

That Thomas Edison typo on page 15 was funny, according to Wikipedia it's Thomas Browne.

That managed to slip through, fixed it now.

... WAIT, Sefure was published later than Shino to Ren?

Yes and no, depending on what you see as published.
Going by Chigusa's twitter account, the first versions of Shino and Ren go back as early as November of 2021.
There was also a Shino and Ren doujinshi sold at Winter Comiket 2022.
Going by official publication, however, Semi-Friend started serialization in May of 2023, while Volume 1 of Shino to Ren was only released by a publisher in August of 2023.

Considering the tongue-in-cheek nature of the "ancestor" comment, it's quite obvious that Shino and Ren served as the basis for Suuna and Ruka.

I also should add that this is a one-shot from a few months ago. The serialised version was released last week and Goggled has already translated it, I'll try to typeset is as soon as I can.

Really not a fan of doing the "I will let you go with one more warning" children's comic resolution, when it is combined with someone/thing who constantly tried to / wanted to commit mass murder and cannibalism, and up until this was highly aggressive, but whatever.

Vague spoiler:
I wouldn't worry about that one, that'll be addressed next chapter.

Is this manga a web manga? How do you know which is the web manga and which is the print manga?

The Manga is published Ultra Jump which is a physically printed magazine but we're using the digital raws that are posted to niconico for the scanlation.
You can usually find out where something is published by looking it up on Manga-Updates and then checking what the magazine is exactly.

Manga Time is supposedly a "seinen" magazine, at least according to Wikipedia, but everything I've seen from them before this series has been strictly PG lol

The Manga Time Kirara magazines have (had) some spicier series like Momoiro Montage (Forward) and Koharu Biyori (same magazine as this one) but it's definitely not a significant part of their line-up.

This manga seems to be more popular than expected, at first it was just a "Three-part guest series" but now it has reached volume 2

There are a lot of series in Manga Time Kirara magazines that start out as one-shots or a few guest chapters before getting serialized (Bocchi the Rock, for example). Houbunsha, the publisher, also seems to be pushing this series extra hard with the way they're promoting it.
Most Kirara series also reach volume 2, the real challenge is getting past the dreaded 2 volume axe.

As I was already kinda expecting, axed.
What a shame.

Do you know that? It didn’t seem very rushed to me

Every time a series ends, someone will come and say that regardless of how well the ending is done.

I'm normally not one to jump to this conclusion that quick, but Manga Time Kirara axes series pretty frequently and with the amount of things that were only briefly touched upon or even left unresolved it's quite obvious that the author had a lot more ideas for the story.

Was Shiorin always into yaoi or was it some recent development?

It's been mentioned a few times, ch7 where she visits the BL section of a store, ch10 where she's talking to another girl in the BL section and ch11 when the boy visits the station.

Those looked like very specific characters, another series from the same author maybe?

Yes, they are from another series by Studio Headline called Owaru Sekai no Shuugakuryokou.
