Certainly an odd manga, but it has heart and the art is fantastic so I'm at least interested.

your point could still stand in a way though, but the best friend is probably not THE one as listed by the enrollment sheet.

Strongly implied that his friend is the one girl, but I wouldn't be surprised if the author throws in a curveball and reveal there is secretly a second girl.

Nice detail that the cross-dressing guys with large chest have a collar of some sort, as this is sometimes used to hide the seam of prosthetic fake breasts around the neck.

Technically, the right time to figure out who is the real girl would be PE. She's the only one who would not change with the other. But something tells me they'll all think about coming in their sports uniforms and changing separately.

Kitano being so personally scared when the principal suggested the girl go onstage would also be a weird fake-out if he/she wasn't a girl, but the silhouette calling him "Kagari-kun" when Kitano calls him "Girly" would make no sense if the silhouette was meant to just be Kitano.

"two or more girls who all think they're the one listed by the sheet" is a better interpretation of a potential fake-out than "shadow is just Kitano" for sure. good point!

oh by the way y'all the manga was sorta axed with probably a rushed ending (as in not straight-up incomplete) at chapter 32. it's a shame really, really liking the art style, and the wacky premise is fun for me too.

It's also possible that one of the "fake" girls didn't want the "real" girl to be exposed so that she could continue to perform as one of the plausible could-be girls. By revealing the one "real" girl that also exposes the rest of the class as the so called "fakes", so theres safety and gender feelings to be found in the anonymity of the full class being like this

I have no idea what I just read, but it was very gender. I'm on board.

P.S. Femboys are best boys. Kitano is definitely giving trans vibes, though. If so, she's best girl, calling it now.

While I don't know if this will be the case, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Kitano ended up being a girl and presented as a boy just to stay close to Kagari despite his fear of girls. I know that's the premise of a different manga.

I hope it turns out the one girl is gay, and mc falls for the childhood friend anyway.

I feel strange about femboys, because it brings much more ambiguity and makes it hard to see where the protagonist actually swings, but they're being really cheerful and funny so that's okay in my book! (I mean, whether it's Het, Yuri or Yaoi, the sexuality nearly always has the most to do with the gender the "love interest" identifies the most with, no matter what clothes they like to wear. Transgender or not, crossdressing or no. So no matter how you look at it, for the majority at least, the "true sex" plays a really big role. So the "love interest" will get more role in the future, and our dear protagonists just had to get in touch with them one by one and be just so unlucky that the true girl is still nowhere to be found...)

And Oh! I have another hypothesis! What if part of the reason why so many people there are in drag is because they found out early that the new girl will without a doubt be isolated and hunted in a school like this, so they decided to play drag queen to be supportive, and get in touch with a bit of their feminine side along the way! What a way to play Among Us!
