That's so sad... but yet, so brilliantly written.

Beautifully done. Although she certainly is in for a hard time, I think there is still hope now that they are starting university together (they are, aren't they - I mean they did graduate, I think).

How often do we all wish to turn back the clock? Our wish in Sour Grapes.

I guess I shouldn't have expected anything else after reading a title like that, but I really wanted to get some good angst and somehow have a good ending.

I was wrong. orz

Anyone who reads this should at least be acquainted with Aesop's "The Fox and the Grapes" that this is representing.

This really sucks for the girl we follow, but it's the real consequence of her previous rejection. I could see a follow up being the girlfriend realizing she doesn't actually have a place in Minami's heart because it's still locked up around our MC, but even without one, this is the harsh reality of calling the grapes sour. Strangely, I like it.

Well I don't find that sad, I'm quite satisfied with the ending, MC can only blame herself for her foolishness, she kinda got what she deserved. And me finding okay a story from this author is pretty rare.

Well, was a nice short story, even if was more on the bitter side. But I still liked it. And I don't usually like sad endings.

well, I mean, she probably still has a chance since senpai doesn't seem like she likes her that much, but of course a lot of oneshots don't get continued, hence why they are oneshots

I think with the influx of saddening yuri, we need this too.

Depressing story, kind of I like it or not.

I don't agree with the calls for a sequel. I think that would make it way too unrealistic. MC fucked up, and she just has to live with the consequences of being too scared and hurting her best friend. I'm rooting for the new girl to stay (she definitely made her claim clear!)

I don't know, the story is quite sad and the MC did fuck up, but the situation seems rectifiable to me?
The resemblence between the MC and the senpai is blatantly brought up and tells me that Mikami is using the senpai as a replacement, which the senpai herself is clearly well aware of.
If the MC gave the word Mikami would probably leave the senpai, but that's not the point this oneshot so we don't need to see that.

Well, it was your own foolishness for rejecting her at the first place and now you're just paying the cost. You get what u deserve.

reading this hurts more bc of the fact that i've experienced the same thing bc i didn't want to ruin our friendship.

So much blame heaped on a kid that was probably as confused as the friend - or even more, since the friend at least figured things out enough to be able to speak about it to others. Why do I still bother reading comments in this cesspit?
