Nobody peed themselves or received piercings, so it's pretty mild as these things go. Either that or there's a bias in the type of comics I read.

Pres is showing a chest scar at the end.

That's clearly a rope burn, like the one's on her wrists. They're probably just engaging in some shibari play or the likes.

Boy, the tags did not quite prepare me for that one. I think a yandere tag wouldn't go amiss. Guess I'm still looking for my minimum level of toxicity in yuri, cause this was over it

Do we have a toxicity tag or smthn LOL?
Girl got mind broke and manipulated into this relationship— isn’t BDSM supposed to be consensual? I’m prolly just overthinking thinking…

At this point, with all the toxic yuri works being uploaded lately, I really think a toxicity tag is definitely needed.

I wanna see a toxic tag, and also this was pretty mild compared to, well other stuff, but it was an ok attempt!

Never forget the flowers, chat. Worst mistake of my life.

The bullying was so absurd it completely took me out of the story. Even setting aside the surreal idealisation of the president (which is such an overused trope in yuri that I've reached the point where I just skip any panels like the last one here), harassing someone to the point of threatening them with a cutter just because they forgot some flower arrangements? In what world would that ever happen?

I'm nearly positive this was wholly arranged by the vice-prez. Not the initial bullying, no, but the box cutter part? Absolutely.

That girl with the box cutter does say that the Vice Prez told her that the president trusted the girl being attacked to order the flowers and then she didn’t. I thought she said the Vice Prez also told her she messed up on purpose, but she might have been talking about just the first part. Though, at any rate, I agree that the Vice Prez definitely arranged that part.

As I understand it, the vice president only lied about who was responsible for the mistake (and indeed claimed that it was done on purpose). And then this girl decided to avenge the president because she was "disrespected". Even if vice prez was intentionally trying to stir up trouble, there is no indication that box cutter girl wasn't the one who decided to bring a box cutter. Anyway, regardless of who "arranged" the bullying, it's still ridiculous that anyone would go through with it.

Oh, I see, that definitely makes more sense then. It’s good (as in bad) that it all worked out for Vice prez then. And, I definitely agree with you and think that is a ridiculous reason to bully someone. It’s sad that the vice prez got her caught in the crossfire when she probably could’ve just hid it by not saying anything after she got the flowers herself.

Yeah, it's so overused, it's like a lot of manga writers and their editor just use big chechlist of stuff they need to include in their works.

Bullying in Japan might also include things we're not used to.

Well, except the bullying part, that was quite the quality toxic yuri.
Very good stuff indeed, thanks for the TL!

I really love the fact that she went to Nadeshiko as a form of self-harm, not because she loved her. And I like to think that she only loves Nadeshiko because she feels cornered and that no one else would be able to understand and accept her (that she is a -bad- girl). True love.
What I don’t like is the rope play being off-screen, the punishment scenes were too toned down to be honest, I wanted more sexy moments.

It's quite likely that there's more going on with the bullying or previous interpersonal conflicts that we don't know about that contributed to that situation. The story is told from the president's perspective, who is somewhat sheltered, so she wouldn't know about everything that goes on in the school.

"Now it's the flowers, what's next with you?" makes more sense than "Lets go straight to accusations and dumping water on this student we've never had any trouble with before." Likely the bullied student was chosen to take the blame because of that context.

All the bullying aside, I was kind of disappointed that she kept saying punishment this, punishment that, but we never see her actually doing any punishing.

Honestly I think "mind break" stuff is usually pretty fun but I don't like how it was used here. I kind of preferred how KitaKawa did this kind of relationship where the sub already had their own reasons to go along with whatever the dom wanted to do, even if they weren't really into it in the same way the dom was initially.

But, I also think a lot of elements in here would've worked better if this was a multichapter work and it had time to cook in the oven? I wasn't particularly sold on any of the emotions or motivations the characters had in this and it made everything feel pretty flat to me.

All the bullying aside, I was kind of disappointed that she kept saying punishment this, punishment that, but we never see her actually doing any punishing.

Right? Feels like all of the fun stuff got glazed over.

As far as I know there is next to no consensus on what "toxic yuri" even means. I believe it's more practical to use content notes for whatever specifically might be upsetting for certain readers instead of relying on entirely vibes-based concepts like "toxic".

Besides, series usually make it obvious what kind of vibe the main couple will have going on, and oneshots due to their length can't really be "toxic" without qualifying for at least one other warning tag that is already in use on the site.

Huh, I guess that's why this felt a bit underwhelming. Compared to its length maybe too many pages were spent on setup and not enough on the payoff. I do like the way the artist draws the eyes though.

A nice one-shoot of mind-break-bullying to start the day ^^ elaborately-ridiculous set-up aside, I like the idea of someone feeling so much pressure not to fail that they seek comfort in admitting their flaws to someone who will accept them anways. Also, I kept getting huge NozoEli vibes from the main couple, is that just me? lol
