This setting makes no sense, lol.

yeah i agree, this whole 'liason' thing feels very contrived. like...we're starting to accept humans in our vampire school, so shortly in advance we'll transfer in humans posing as vampires to encourage them to get along? i don't really see the logic

still gonna stick with it for the moment because the art is lovely and mmm sexy bloody vampires

Damn I really don't think it's that hard to suspend my disbelief for this setting. It feels perfectly palatable.

Honestly while there were plenty of warning signs surrounding Hitomi I actually missed the violence tag so I just kinda presumed it'd lead to something far less, uh, deadly than that. Feel bad for her, she seemed so spritely and excited...

I needed someone to fill the void that VAMPEERZ left when it ended.

A yuri vampire manga written by the legend who made futaribeya?

By all means, please do.

oh legendary for going no where? i can safely say there will be 0 romance and no much going anywhere if this is the author we are dealing with it

but hey, i actually wanna see how will the author make the yuri tag worthless

Yukiko has much more overt yuri in other stuff. It very much remains to be seen whether this'll be more like Room For Two's more low-key thing or a departure in the romance area as well as other aspects of the tone.

People talking about gore made me expect, like, entrails or something. Vampire tag should prepare people for seeing some blood and a dead body or two.

True. Stuff like spilled blood is pretty much the default when dealing with vampires.

It's funny how people keep saying futaribeya is subtext. It makes me wonder if we've read the same manga.

The story is interesting and the art is gorgeous but gosh I didn't expect Hitomi to die just like that. I thought she would be attacked and gets injured but not killed so early this way. Kinda breaks my heart how she was so excited about the school and making vampire friend only to end up this way.

Seeing the comments I’ll hopefully be pleasantly surprised for future Yuri if it comes. Otherwise, I’m hooked by the who-done-it and the vampires.

Day 1 failed

Also, I’m assuming only progenitors can mind control humans?
Why only ONE liaison? There should’ve been a large group of them— so they could run for student council, which makes it easier to be in multiple places, and them being a stickler for the rules is also normal + having multiple sticklers for the rules won’t be as strange as only one “vampire” trying to push the other vampires into getting along with the humans

I’m hoping she isn’t alone on this— cuz that’d be very dumb and irresponsible of the school

I’m curious if the vampire students were taught about co existing with humans for years before this? Cuz it’d be dumb AF if not. Surely they were raised to not attack humans, right??

Hitomi’s def dead. No way she bled out that much and ain’t dead. That’s sucks— and her parents def will regret letting her attended (shocked any parent would let their kid attend)

So is the school gonna try and cover this up or are they gonna come clean to the parents and punish the vampire that did killed her?

If Hitomi promised to regularly check in, after like, a week or two, or a month of silence will def raise suspicion— plus, won’t they do parent teacher meetings? No way they’re gonna handle this shady-like and keep it a secret

This setting makes no sense, lol.

This is how I’m feeling atm. There should’ve been multiple liaisons, a year in advance— let them integrate into the school, gain a high social standing among the students (plus, if these “vampires” can get along without dying or being found out, then it’s proof that these vampires have the capacity to hold in their urges, which justifies trying to have humans and vampires get along)

I don’t see how it could be anyone other than the vamp roomie who did this— an anti vamp, human faction makes no sense— first day of school for the humans, who KNEW this was a vampire school, they’ve already set up a faction and have the ability to break in to a room and cause a murder scene without getting caught by the vampire roommate?

The administrator said she’s not the only one working undercover so it’s not all on her shoulders. It doesn’t seem like she knows the identities of the other hidden humans tho.

Give it a moment to simmer, it's been chapter 1, though I can see how the world building can be easily screwed up.

The world-building is really gonna make or break this one for me I think. If the vampire roommate had no qualms killing that girl on night one (assuming no red herring), then I imagine there's not really too many legal or social consequences for doing so in vampire world. Which begs the question of why anyone would want to send their human children to live in a school full of deadly predators they will be cohabitating with 24/7, unsupervised, with no safeguards.

I'll keep reading to see where it's going, but my expectations have been set low. Is she supposed to live on snacks all school year? And keep scurrying around to eat them? It's like Yukiko put in just enough effort to draw attention to how little effort she put in making this make sense.

They're really throwing all these kids to the wolves, huh... trusting several high schoolers to act as impostor vampires and never let their role on, placing them in mortal danger

Uhm, 'scuse me, Mr. Principal, but what exactly would you say humans have "lost" re: lineage, exactly
