As for the reference at the end of the chapter--Adachi's "White Album"--I THINK it's meant as symbolic. The White Album is a famous Beatles record, and is famous for having no sort of cover art. It was simply pure white with the name of the album in small black lettering. Basically, it was a field of white nothingness but still held a great many awesome tracks. Adachi is so overwhelmed with spending the day with Shimamura and all of the skinship, that she says that she won't remember any of it, it's blank and white like snow covering things outside. Essentially, she's conceding that a great many awesome things happened but she will remember nothing of it because it was just too overwhelmingly awesome. She has her own White Album.

Adachi is pushing the relationship forward but Shimamura is controlling the pace. This was such an obvious date and Adachi's aggressive hand holding has got to have had some impact on Shimamura's denial. I really can't wait to read the other side of this! I'm guessing the "full mark thighs" are what keep peeking out of the cheongsam.

Also, 100 points for air hockey. That was a great date plan and a great way to get past being awkward.

I knowwwwwwww. The first time I read that I was like, "oh, honey"--which is of course the all-purpose Southern US reaction to when someone has done something really dumb but nobody is brave enough to be blunt about how dumb they're being to their face.

Shimamura clearly has some thoughts coming into her head that she can't push to the side anymore, as evidenced by the scowl on her face when she got her thumb jammed thanks to Awkward Adachi. My concern though is that she's still manged to twist things enough... so that she's decided that she is going to be "onee-san", hence the head pats and the "you have to ask first, okay?" thing with the hand holding. Guess we'll see what's actually rattling around in that noggin in a couple weeks.

Yeah I'm really curious to get Shimamura's perspective on what's happening here. She's clearly not fully comfortable with what's going on, but also not so uncomfortable as to actively stop it, but what are the details....

Haha, that was pretty adorable, better than I was expecting. It soo nailed that awkward teenage vibe of like super wanting to date someone, while also having no idea wtf you're doing, and being terrified of doing it wrong. Also dealing with that very Japanese fear of standing out.

And yeah, Adachi definitely seemed like she was missing some signals, looking forward to Shimamura's pov.

I was like. This is so ridiculous but at "that age" it comes off as pretty believable

IKR? It was such a deviation from the normal awkward dorkiness that we're used to so far. Nervous about sitting close, nervous about holding hands, wanting to be head-patted, freaking out about how to ask to hang out, typical G-rated fluffy baby lesbian stuff...

... then BAM! Why, hello there Shimamura's boobies! Sneikkimies was all "her thirst motivated me" when I commented about how quickly these two chapters were done compared to usual, and the moment I read it I understood fully, lol...

I really wish this part is in the manga.

Anyway, these two chapters mark the end of the second volume. I'm already working on the third one, and the first chapter of that will hopefully be out in a week or two. Releases will get a bit less frequent after that though since the second and especially the third chapters are super long.
