It actually got re-started quite a while ago (there are five volumes already) under the slightly different name. There is also an anime project announced!

It follows on from Konohanatei Kitan as a sequel and doesn't ignore stuff like Ren being in love with Natsume, although it's got less focus of that aspect of the series and less of a romantic tone. There's quite a lot of yuri based humor, especially recently with the miko characters (Momo, Ayame, Hiiragi, Botan).

Is this real life? Or am I dreaming?

I'm glad someone finally picked this up! Even if it's not quite as gay as Konohanatei Kitan, it still has a fair amout of gay, and is generally overflowing with cuteness. We get a lot more information about the characters backgrounds, and even a few new characters. Overall, I like this manga very much!

if legend is to be believed, after leaving Yuri Hime the choice was either het harem or nothing for years until a publisher finally agreed to continue the manga the way Amano Sakuya wanted. if there is a series that does not deserve complaints (and, in fact, should be praised), it's Konohana Kitan.

When taking it to publishers to restart it, one of the things Amano was told was "It won't sell as yuri so let's put in a male protagonist", however "There are readers who will be put off by animal ear characters" and "The publication we planned to put it in is going to cease publication" were other examples of issues faced. And apparently the deciding factor for ending up with Birz was that they were willing to wait for Amano to finish Doubt. So it sounds like it wasn't that everywhere had a problem with yuri.

Supposedly that was released in a bonus booklet that came with buying one of the volumes in certain stores. It is drawn by the author. Beyond that your guess is as good as mine as to whether it is considered canon.

I'm just hoping someone will pick up translating this series again, what with the anime being here.
