Even without that background this woman definitely had bad intentions from her first appearance and randomly showed up in front of an established couple so there's nothing poly about that, let alone friendly. Now we know she's even a manipulator and at least a stalker.

I'm glad Ruuka found out what's happening this fast. Suuna seemed to be suspicious about this girl but she is generally too naive on her own. Plus now the worst outcome (which was Sunna being manipulated by this woman over time and causing a rift with Ruka) should hopefully be off the table. Should be a fun next chapter. I agree. We need some hand cuffs.

I believe Rin was in the middle of high school or in her final year. So she's all kinds of messed up. This chapter makes her look even worse, which I didn't consider possible.

wild. I do like that she is very much framed antagonistically. the things she did to Rin, that she is about to do are very much wrong we just get to know why she did it. A twisted craving for attention/love. For her to be special to anyone at all. Fucked up though.

They introduced her and the situation in chapter 19, though. This has been hanging over the story since then, and was introduced as the explanation for why Ruka started the sex friend thing. We always had to catch up to this. She is nasty, though.

Its probably gonna become a jokey "isnt it funny how shes a stalker :)" side character after 4 chapters of drama and 1 of "she just wants love, we can be your friends :)"

Yeah but all that was implied in chapter 19. We just left without the full details but the ickiness was already present and knowing that "relationship" was what started Ruka's ideas about sex friends also promised some deeper trauma. It did wait a while to cash in on those promises though but the story can't end without dealing with that stuff.

Agreed. It's the one thing I'm slightly worried about. Would mess with my impression of the series if it bungled this part. Just depends on whether the author considers their "relationship" in a negative way or not because of their ages at the time. There's the chance she views it's negatively only because Rin was a bad person to Ruka. So far, so good.

Which suggests the two of them met in Rin's first year of high school. But we don't know how long it took for Rin to meet Ruka. The other point is in chapter 19, where Rin talks to Ruka about exams and going to college in Hokkaido, to Ruka's devastation, but we don't know how long they'd been "together". Though I suppose we need to leave time for Ruka to mess around in middle school after Rin left?

Minimum age gap would be early 13 and late 15, maximal would be late 12 and early 18. Bit under 3 years or bit over 5 years, with the younger at the 12/13 cusp.

You also missed the "one year later" line on page 8.
There's two separate instances of "three months later", once on page 6 and one more on page 9, putting it at least 6 months into the second year.

So Rin and Ruka's brother meet at least 3 months into their first year and Rin and Ruka meet at least 6 months into their second year.
That only leaves the time between Ruka and Rin's first meeting and the events of chapter 19 up in the air.
