Damn that sucks. She got rose colored glasses bc she ended up really into that girl, but she rly is a rental girlfriend client just the same as the others. Such an interesting premise. Come to think of it, i’ve never seen a “the sex worker actually loves me” deconstruction from the sew worker’s side. U see the “nah it’s her job” angle occasionally. But I really think I’ve never seen the “no she sees u as an emotional/sexual service worker” angle.
That's a great point, and honestly probably something that happens more often than the idealized fully reciprocated mutual love that sex worker romances usually depict.
The great thing about this is that everyone is hurting each other, and yet none of them are "in the wrong" per say. Sui-chan used a compensated dating service to cope with an unrequited crush, and then the person she was paying fell for her. The (still nameless?) woman that picked up Ren had a one night stand with her, and then fell for Ren despite her not sharing the same feelings. Both Ren and the nameless woman were in "zero commitment" relationships, caught feelings, and are getting burned for it.
I'm sure I'm not alone in rooting for the nameless woman to be happy, but it's not going to be a straightforward or simple path from here, and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if none of these three ended up together in the end lol.
