Oh I didn't read it like that. I read it more that she didn't really have the words to say at the moment in her head, which came off like coming onto her gf. Which naturally she reciprocates lol

Bit of both, I think. She's trying to find the time and the language but the moments don't seem clean. To start the chapter, she says she wants to ask but thinks the timing isn't right. Then later begins to probe, maybe unintentionally, but that isn't clean either. She's just poking around for when it feels right and life goes on in the meantime. She's gets all of her physically but that's not what she's really asking for. It's interesting stuff. The sex (or lead up to it) gets to be used narratively to help establish the chapter's point rather than just being there for fan service. The art is great though and I know Sumiko has fun drawing it.

Yeah, this doesn't feel particularly sexy for me. Some couples can feel sexy while avoiding talking, but with Aya and Mitsuki it just makes me sad. Though it does feel very in character. They both have avoidant personalities.

This does give vibes of the opening act of How Do We Relationship, when that pair just bulldozed their anxieties with sex. But Mitsuki and Aya have been together for years now, through an age where things don’t last that long. They can’t be completely incapable of communicating.

Ugh I hate that comparison. Mainly because I never liked Saeko I thought she was an awful characters and never did enough to redeem herself for me

I don't want to go too off topic. But when Miwa was super depressed and wouldn't even leave her bed and was basically trying to force herself onto her and Saeko was just cool with using her for sex and leaving her over and over again not even trying to help her I just found that so gross. And then once Saeko got tired of her being so desperate and clingy she was like "I'm out deuces" and again didn't try and help her at all. Double gross. If someone did that to me it would break my gay heart so much I'd never be able to speak to that person again. She would have been very dead to me.

Tamaki was a much better person and gf it's a shame she couldn't actually sleep with Miwa if she would have been able to and not find it gross they would have ended up together imo.

Okay sorry I've said my peace about this haha.

Their relationship became complicated and messy at times, where they both leaned on each other in unhealthy and toxic ways at various points. Though eventually it led to them building a better and healthier relationship. Yet people reduce it down to 'Saeko bad". It's whatever, we're not going to agree and it's not the place to talk about it.

Not that it's likely to happen but there might be the possibility that the post-coital clarity and stress-relief lead to a pillow talk heart-to-heart about what's been bothering Mitsuki~

Hoping that this is the way it goes, but as you said it's unlikely to happen

if green yuri is THIS popular and big with just 4 pages, imagine the power of 20

Sometimes less is more, and too much would lose the charm. That being said, i think this could safely add 50-100% of the current pages to flesh it out. As it is, it sometimes feels like the chapters don't have enough narrative keyframes, figuratively.

I think it works pretty well as a twitter comic, honestly, the scene-vignette style of it is interesting and it's easy to fill in the gaps as you read through it. But it does kind of hinge on the reader being aware that it's being released in 4 page stints.

When I read the published book form, I often find myself wondering if readers that discover it that way don't find it oddly disjointed, since there's nothing that indicates when one chapter ends and the next begins. If you're not aware that it's being published in 4 page groupings, the way the story seems to lurch forward every couple pages must feel kind of awkward.

If I were involved in publishing it, I probably would have suggested putting the publication dates on the first page of each chapter, to help communicate the format to new readers.

Publication date in the body of the work would introduce too much clutter. Just putting the chapter number and title at the top of the page could be enough. Consider the four-koma format where each chapter consists of segments which can each get their own title or tagline.

One thing we need to remember is that "communication issues" have been a defining aspect of Mitsuki's character ever since the very beginning, and while she certainly has gotten better at expressing herself to others since the time when a crisis in communication meant she put a bag over her head:

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/the_guy_she_was_interested_in_wasnt_a_guy_at_all_ch27#3

Just being in a loving relationship doesn't mean that her personality is totally transformed--communication is something she and her loved ones are going to need to work on all her life. Mitsuki still best expresses herself via unintentional rizz and her music, and in fact the current crisis consists of anxiety about her music.

I know it's a relief to readers when characters finally "just talk to each other," but in real life "communication issues" are consistently the number one problem that therapists and family counselors see for very good reasons.

Honestly I think my issue is less with the poor communication between the characters and more that the series feels like it's poorly communicating with the audience. With time passage feeling disjointed, and character motivations and emotions feeling condensed and vaguely defined. It feels like more is happening off screen than it is on screen with most recent events, and we the audience aren't invited. That's just how I feel anyhow, and I've noticed other people feel differently which is equally valid.

Frankly, the 4 page format doesn't work all that well for me when it's condensed into an actual book. The chapter titles are there but they're so tiny that you end up basically ignoring them anyway. Not a huge problem with the "bundles" 49 to 51 but e.g. 47 and 48 are disorienting when you have them side by side. And there are more of the latter than the former.
For some reason, I had thought there'd be some filler in the volume release to mitigate that issue (which was a very stupid thing to expect, of course).

Maybe you could expect something of the sort in the anime.
