So I guess Irene is going to seduce Faye's little sister, and the prince is gonna hold hands with Jolene's brother.

Everyone but the new girl is set up.

Lmao I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought, I think everyone here is gay

Also yes we need a partner for everyone

Jolene is the real kitty cat here.

Hesha is acting more and more authentic by the chapter, which actually makes her genuinely more attractive to everyone around her. The irony is that it was Jolene's violent authenticity that has triggered this change in Hesha, but now Jolene herself is held back by her trauma, so it's Hesha's turn to inspire her to be more honest with her feelings.

And she was MAD and ANGRY!

That is a lot of typos you've made in the word "JEALOUS". :3

And so begins the Faye x Irene arc. Whether that's a good or bad thing later, im kind of interested to see how the community here reacts to them as things progress. Either way, its very nice to have a good, legible translation for this arc in the story.
Also, Jolene. I get it girl. You get Hesha at her absolute worst and now some random pops up outta nowhere and moves in on her after you "fix" her? Hell naw, lmao! I love these two

Throw the sister and dad in a volcano, and give the brother more cookies!

Between being completely oblivious after Jolene made full-on lip contact or after her father directly grilling her, only for her to ask whatever he may be implying, girl's dumber than a brick. Actually, Jolene, as well, was very subtle with what she implied there, though I do respect Hesha telling her me no understand plis spik.

Either case, this batch of chapters was fucking whiplash-inducing, not entirely in a bad way, but there's finally some semblance of an overarching storyline, so there's that. Genuinely laughed at Arnold outright saying he didn't like the prince. I thought they'd mince words about it for a bit.

It just shows how much Arnold and Jolene trust each other. It's refreshing to see such as wholesome sibling bond in a manhua, especially next to the dumpster fire that is Faye's attitude...

Feels like the story has really hit its stride! I quite like this jealous Jolene. :)

So Hesha’s father is going to start butting heads against our unhinged protagonist, and his villainess of a daughter?

Well, hope that goes poorly for him.

His wife also seems unhappy with his behavior, so I imagine things will go poorly for him (hopefully)

I was having this moment of, well, if women can't do or own anything without a man, why are they inviting female commoners to the schools?
Then I was like, oh, probably just to widen the marriage pool of talented women for nobles.

Ehhhh, it's a stretch, but I'll take it.

I like the realistic way the prince brushed off the same-sex marriage proposal, but also how the brother called it out internally. This series is handling the social issues in a more interesting way than I expected. Its easy to dismiss the thoughts of someone whose universally bad, stories like this tend to also make them incompetent so they're safe to get rid of. But the prince actually cares about commoners and is one of the better members of nobility, so it hurts more to hear the excuses come from him. Hesha being ignorant of Jolene's feelings, and Jolene's frustrations, also makes more sense in a society like this where she can be closeted even from herself.

School is a great place to mingle and introduce potential marriage candidates. But also, depending on the time the wife can also help manage the estate, especially at times the husband is sick or away. So having an educated partner has advantages

Hesha is just channeling "useless lesbian" in its purest form, girl could look at two women having sex and dismiss the resulting feelings as "I'm just jealous they get to feel good, that's all!"

Hesha is such a funny character to me. She's so unwaveringly sincere in everything she does that it seems to cancel out how hopelessly socially unaware she is. Loudly declaring to a room of people that someone belongs to you and telling them who they should and shouldn't sit next to is such grade school behavior lol. Although a lot of the social fighting in the school so far has operated on grade-school logic so maybe it's not supposed to come off as awkward and it's just a symptom of clumsy writing.

Just now realized amShepherd finished translating all of the previous chapters that only had the honestly kinda bad translations before, so now it's time to reread everything to see how much nuance I missed out on. If amShepherd is on here, thank you very much!
