Are false nails not a thing in Japan? Or is it that Aya is too stressed out to think about them at the moment?

There are some nail salon in Japan, but it's not that common and long fake nail don't seem to be as fashionable as it is in the west. I actually don't like long nail, especially when they are fake, so it's something I tend to notice and I don't see that often girls with long fake nails in Japan. When I do, mostly, it seems to be university students.

So my guess is that it's not a reflex for her, if she never did it before.

Thanks for the reply, it's interesting to hear.

That's more a tackle than a hug.

tackling someone after a nerve wrecking experience (in this case, your girl's exam) is very real

I know she just aimed low for the hug but it straight looks like she went full linebacker and full-on tackled her

^ Don't forget that Mitsuki is making Aya a dedicated CD, that's going to be quite the reward if she's close to being done.

Glad that she's getting comfort and that she passed. Feels like we're leaving behind the angst and worry arc.

Aya is Type D: Passed With The Power Of Love.

Damn! All that worrying and fretting and angst, and for what? Nothing.

It's almost like having a lot of (negative) feelings about things that have not happened yet is usually unnecessary. ^^

As a translator note, I should add that the sentence about type C is "said" by Mitsuki (or in the mind of Aya as Mitsuki would say it?) with the pronoun "ore".

Not "watashi" or even "boku", but "ore", which is very masculine. Which means maybe Aya still perceives Mitsuki as a guy? I don't remember Mitsuki ever using "ore" herself.

I don't think the usage of "ore" is innocent, but you may interpret it as you wish.

^ Doesn't Mitsuki simply use watashi?

Usually yes, though she maybe used "ore" when she pretended to be a guy.

But why is she using "ore" in Aya's mind?
