This brings us up to date with the raws until next week. There's also a one-shot version that the typesetter is slowly getting through.

"Happy for some reason", maybe it has something to do with falling in love with her..

I am getting attached

Likewise. Does anyone think it will be a yuri version of Urusei Yatsura where Lulu’s outer space buddies come and visit?

So, having seen a second set of clothing from Lulu, it sure seems like she enjoys wearing collars.

Thinking about it, if something landed on earth and we know precisely that it's a space ship, where did it come from, who is occupying it and why she came to eath, it's technically not an UFO. it's a pretty nicely identyfied flying object.

other people here have talked about it already, but the specific flavor of isolation here is hitting home as an autistic girl. i may not be tall or butch (or an alien), but i understand being the resident freak, as well as even forgetting how to talk because you never do (early chapter 1). when you're always on the outside looking in, it's easy to have a warped sense of personhood.

and, it's interesting to me that the other students aren't Bad Guys in how they're framed? they're normal people who are just saying things without thinking too hard about the why. "it's funny" or "i'm just joking" may be true but they also don't negate any hurt your words cause. like for the alien girl marriage premise, it's refreshingly grounded and earnest. idk. looking forward to more, definitely

You just me realise the UFO was basically the ultimate U-Haul. They exchanged gazes and the princess immediately crossed the galaxy to move in together.

Okay, now that the artist isn't drawing so much attention to Lulu's frankly upsettingly large bosom, this series is growing on me

I like how smooth she was, casually complimenting Lulu's tail like that.

... I'm still trying to figure out which part is the tall, though? (・∀・)

The darker pair of frills, better seen at page 9, behind the kid.

yeah they're meant to be more like fish fins that come from her lower back instead of her tailbone.

The fish angle makes me think of Nagae Iku, she also got frills for days because of the IRL fish.

And the way it hangs around her reminds me of drawings of celestial maidens and their floaty cloth, rather fitting.

Oh. Those aren't part of the clothes. I see.

... you know, that elegant delicacy when she's so... big... is even more charming.

I wonder if they'll need to go to a bath house or something, I can't imagine a human bathtub being very comfortable for our alien.

Fully agreed, I think she's elegant and lovely.

Hmm, combine goldfish tails with loads of seafood that Lulu brought from her home planet, does that mean her species is (or was) essentially aquatic?

My only issue is either lulu learned Japanese culture quickly, or the author doesn't realize how different their culture is. Mainly regarding food and always shouting "delicious " after every bite. I would of liked introduction to Japanese culture , at least a couple pages
.

I’m so curious if the other world mystery meat is even safe to eat? Maybe the Princess can eat human food fine cuz she’s super strong, but Ten is just a human.

Are there any diseases that exist on Lulu’s planet that’s already vaccinated for and stuff but can be deadly for people not protected? Is there new bacteria in the food that has the potential to make Ten sick? Is eating it raw even SAFE for a human

I’m pretty sure there’s cases where a whole group of people are wiped out because foreigners brought new diseases in— couldn’t that happen here? With the food especially.

On a less nit-picky note, I wonder what it tastes like? If food is prepared and plated to look pleasant on Lulu’s home planet too?

Somewhat stereotyping, but I find Japanese manga (etc) are just meh at this in general. Characters are almost always just Japanese with a superficial coating of "foreignness". Doesn't matter whether it's aliens, demons, monsters, historical people, real foreigners ... ^^

She had a month to study before meeting Ten, it's not a lot to learn everything about a culture, but Japan's day-to-day culture is very easy to access through media and such. And seeing how diligent Lulu is and how aware of her image can impact the opinion of humans about her people, it really isn't that weird.

I think this makes sense, also I bet Lulu learns fast as well.

We have quite a few sci-fi stories that explore that, but in reality it's like a plant pathogen interacting with humans. It's not designed to affect us, so we don't get affected. A pathogen from a whole entirely different system of unrelated life would be astronomically low (pun fully intended). But also this is a fictional story so maybe we may see something like that.

Usually don't get affected.

I learned recently that tuberculosis started as a soil bacteria. Its ability to resist and take over predatory amoebae turned out to carry over to our macrophages. Oops!

As for real alien biology, I would give higher odds to the equivalent of bacteria and protists (seek out food in the environment and break it down) crossing over than to viruses (hijacking reproductive machinery).

But if there's some reason to converge on the same DNA and amino acids, or if panspermia seeded the same cellular biology everywhere, that would increase viral odds.

Well we've seen Lulu eating human food, so we know that life on Earth and on her planet has the similar building blocks and molecular chirality. And since she can live comfortably, the environmental conditions of the two places probably aren't that different. This means that alien microbes can potentially sustain themselves on organic products from Ten's body.

But just having the same building blocks doesn't mean that they're the same (a jellyfish and a human also have the same building blocks), and whether microbes can survive in or adapt to a different microbiome is not known, as well as whether the toxins that affect humans could work on Lulu and vice versa. Cross species microbial infection between different distantly-related animals on Earth that don't interact with each other is already relatively uncommon (and cross-kingdom infections are even rarer), so the chances that Ten would get an alien disease is astronomically small.
