Tongtong leveling up her housework game is really endearing. Gotta be able to look at her mother in law in the eye. Also, Lin Lu is kind of, awesome? She's really been shining this entire 2nd series. Quick on the uptake too, she clocked from day 1 what Tongtong is trying to do here

Tongtong keeps being perfect wifey material. Xiaolu has really won the lottery (and she's an awesome girlfriend as well).

These two are so good for each other. I can read these chapters all day. I love that they improve themselves for each other or do things that make each other happy, like Tongtong doing the research on being a domme. I was worried she wouldn't like it, but she enjoys seeing Luxi really like things and she's also just Luxi obsessed, so she goes in 120%. Luxi refusing to go with her mom is also a great and subtle character development from before. Can't wait to see Tongtong topped for once, girl needs a lot of loving too.

She already feels inadequate, so being topped and the ending is probably a negative for her self esteem. The one area she had practiced all season and been proud of was also done super well by her girlfriend, so what is her unique contribution? I don't think she'll feel great. Seems like that's what we've been building to with all this Dom training stuff. It all came from her desire to do more.

Yeah they have some things to work out. It felt like the night went pretty well though and that they've been communicating, so the drama stemming from overhearing the phone call feels weird to me. I know that happens fairly often in stories and real life as well, but it's definitely frustrating lol

Lin Luxi topped lets fucking go. I'm assuming that she's calling her mom to clarify but also to ask for her approval of Tongtong so that the weight of those expectations can be off her back

Tongtong desperately needs to listen to the whole conversation and not do the trope of only listening to part then being upset more.

Lin's mom hasn't even registered that their apartment is way above her daughters financial means.

...well ig that's not the point of this chapter though. From the setup, I actually feel like the call will go the opposite way people are thinking - as in, Tongtong will actually get to hear "ok I actually do the chores but look I love my gf anyway" and feel validated rather than misunderstand

Damnnnn I feel robbed for skipping the the deets of our diligent gurl topping tong tong's ass. Also pretty sure she wants to clarify to her mom that she enjoys doing all the chores and doesn't mind it at all. Though tongtong probably might misunderstood it based on the first sentence of what she said which I hope not. Also I like how tongtong is taking responsibility of doing half of the chores even though her doesn't mind doing all of it.

Yeah it's definitely possible that the cliffhanger is a fake out, where she might hear positive words that make her feel good at the start of the next chapter. I really hope the phone call doesn't resort in drama that takes several chapters to resolve, though I think either way we'll get some solid couple progression between these two.

This is a classic pointless nonsense bullshit drama setup and the author knows it. Like others here I don't think it's gonna be played straight and Tongtong will hear the whole thing. I also love the idea that Lin Lu told her "I've yet to be bad at anything I've put my mind to" and proved it via a smashing success.
