Congrats on making it through 2024! Here's to an even better 2025!

Let's start it off right. For the first time in several years, famed yuri hub Yuri Navi has returned with a new general yuri survey aimed at Japanese readers, to satisfy a very important question: what's your favourite yuri manga? In light of this occasion we had the idea to run one of our own, aimed at the English-speaking community!

The premise is very simple. You get 5 votes with which to choose your 5 favourite (unordered) yuri manga, manhua, and/or manhwa. The election runs until January 7th, 2025. In late January, Yuri Navi will release the results of their survey, and we'll release the results of ours too (with, hopefully, some nice fancy comparisons, graphs, etc.).

I currently like real life stuff; my favorites have my running hobby in them like The Kase San and Yamada to Kase San in them and I work in a greenhouse currently. Another is long running Virgins Empire especially with the running in it or the two gay Fathers.

Lol at the clarification about LN adaptations, it felt like a direct answer to what I was thinking. That does make me wonder if Otherside Picnic should make it on my list...

Yep! My list included Prism, Notes From the Garden Of Lilies and The Blue Star on That Day. So, recent or "old," or actually old, they're all good!

Webtoons are completely valid! Specifically webtoons translated from Japanese, Chinese, or Korean are valid. Webtoons natively in English are not valid.

This is a really cool thing for dynasty to do! It's so hard to narrow down your top yuri mangas to just five, so I just went with whatever came to mind first - A Passing Shower, Her Shim Cheong, Useless Princesses, Yoru to Umi and I forgot the last one :D

honorable mentions - My Unrequited Love, steps and Fragments of Love by Jin Takemiya, the love doctor, Koushin Koinu ni Koibumi wo, Come Rain or Shine, Opapagoto, Opium, Ring My Bell and on a leash.

I too went with the first ones that popped in my mind, and so ended with Who Decided Blues Had To Be Cool?, Sekai de Ichiban Oppai ga Suki!, Maria-sama ga Miteru, Asumi-chan Is Interested In Lesbian Brothels! and Is My Hobby Weird?

Hard picks after the first two.

Gushing Over Magical Girls (no, not for the memes, I meant it), Kanamemo (my intro to yuri), Working Overtime to Destroy the World (an absolute blast, sadly lost to the BilliBilli app shutdown), Demon Girl Next Door (we all know how good this is), and The Witch, The Broom, and The Black-rimmed Glasses (my choice for best hidden gem). The stuff that didn't make the cut were either too short to realize their potential or were too much on the subtext side for something like this.

I went with:
