Unexpected but boring twist. I'm glad it's not 2014 anymore, yuri has moved on.

2014? That one screamed 1990s.

Always love to see stuff from kuzushiro.

I don’t get it? The stuff about seeing her as a toy like that didn’t feel very supported, and didn’t seem to go anywhere. I don’t really understand the point. It kind of felt like they did it just to make it more fucked up? Maybe I’m missing something.

Classic case of “its very deep because i said so”
very normal well adjusted behaviour from this mc, definitely not a kassadin main

Dunno why everyone's so hard against this one, I kinda liked it lol. Angsty, of course, but teenagers are angsty. It's their default state. This story uses that angst to set up an interesting premise with the obvious solution that they'll realize how dumb their internal monologues sound as they age and become a much more healthy couple

When I first read her thought "maybe it's a new kind of bullying" on this page, my reaction was "oh no this poor girl is being crushed by heteronormativity". But she was TOTALLY RIGHT! Nice bit of foreshadowing!

New! Exciting! Fresh and interesting ways to bully people! Is it bullying or is it love? Why not both!!

Well we have a difference in opinion is all, you might like the angst and find it believable for the characters, I personally thought it was overkill even for teenagers. Plus nothing in the story suggests they'll grow out of this toxicity and look back on it, the story paints the relationship as toxic in a very over the top way, and it ends there. Unfortunately some people don't grow out of being bad as teenagers and only get worse as adults. So while I'd like to believe your solution is how they'll progress, there's no clear evidence in the story that will happen, and I'm personally unsatisfied with the story. I didn't enjoy the way the angst, characters, narrative, and so fourth were handled. There's nothing wrong with us agreeing to disagree here, having a difference of opinion is perfectly fine. So while I didn't enjoy this work I'm happy that others might have gotten more out of it.

This one really broke my heart. I can't help but feel sorry for Marika. Kuzushiro's writing still has that 2010s yuri style.

I feel like this is such a random "ooooh I am actually bad" that it's actually pretty passé and lame.

Yeah this was trying too hard to be edgy imo

"you exist only for me to destroy" protect from bullies and fuck in the library.

Oh!
So the new term for 'bully' is to 'protect' then? he he he he

Glad I’m not the only one who got this vibe lol

I think one thing people may be missing here is that the senpai is not a love interest at all and the implication that she is exists only to further fuck with Marika. It's that expectation that she is the consolation prize that is causing her emotional breakdowns, which is 100% the intention. Anyway, that said, not my kinda story.

This seems like the type of story that would get a 1000 comment discussion in 2016. Now it's just another edgy yuri. Oh how far have we come.

I think the twist at the end wouldn't feel so strange if this oneshot had more pages to develop Rumiko's side of story

Eh...Kind of Meh, I knew already that the relationship felt toxic from the start and middle ("I will keep going till you know" she said instead of being frustrated or worried about her GF) but the so-called "Twist" is a bit boring and feel weird/out of place. But I guess that is just me personally and it probably would be more shocking to younger inexperience readers though....

It would make more sense if the girl/childhood wanted to dominated and control the MC...The whole line about hating her felt stupid, weird and out of place (Yes I know Hate Fking exists but it still sounds stupid to me)...if it was a yandere-like desire for control and dominance over another person (Weak-willed MC here) then the twist would not feel weird and out of place for me.

I liked 'Untitled Yuri Manga' more where the relationship was messed up but it still had a mostly 'positive' ending in the relationship...Still wrong but eh if the adults are not going to assign those 2 a good professional therapist then they can't complain.

I seen better Yuri twists manga/doujins, not a horrible or bad twist but I felt like it could have been done better. It basically felt like the bootleg one-shot version of that Toxic Yuri Manga that I read years ago that I abandon/didn't finish due to feeling/predicting there was no hope for a good ending. I think it was called Kitanai Kimi something...

As much as I love this kind of melodramatic toxicity, Rumi's motivation here just doesn't really make any sense and does not feel like something a real person would ever do or think. Kinda spoiled the vibe. If your setup for the twist feels more sensible and compelling than the actual twist, then you need to go back to the drafts.
