Also, I don't have a habit of paying attention to the chapter titles, so just noticed various patterns there.

Yeah they mostly just summarize the chapters but also have some connections. Like how the titles of chapter 38 (Yori and Himari's kissing chapter) and chapter 47 (Shiho and Aki's date chapter) basically mirror each other. Might not be intentional but that stood out.

Always nice to get more best couple content. I'm getting lazy with how I now pretty much skim chapters that focus on the first couple as I wait for more Aki/Shiho content.

We know Shiho is excited but Aki might surprisingly have Shiho beat in the happiness scale. She's so giddy in this chapter, even as she's understandably a bit nervous and anxious about the new stages of their relationship. Really looking forward to their first (technically second) official date. I'm wondering where they'll choose to go and what they'll choose to do.

Yeah anybody who still thought there was a chance it wasn't romantic love was in denial, but at least we've removed all doubt.

I'm really hoping we can segue into development for Momoka. Her being able to move on from her past love is what I've most been wanting to see from the side characters. Having your lover die must be horribly heartbreaking, so I wish she could learn to love again to show she won't always be carrying that grief with her.

Could still be room for "Miki is confused about her feelings, confusing sisterly possessiveness with romantic longing"; could even fit a story theme of not understanding your own feelings (like Himari). IIRC Miki has had a boyfriend before, but I forget if we know how into him she was. But I'm not betting on it.

At this point I'm tempted to wonder if "boyfriend" was a mistranslation considering the lack of orientation talk (nobody even thought to warn Ayaka her crush might not be into girls, odd omission if she was dating a guy) and the anime seems to have gone very gender neutral when Miki mentioned her past.

It doesn't feel so "right" anymore.

tbf, I'd say it's been long enough that even if we start moving in that direction next chapter I still wouldn't call it immediate.
