Back when Komugi was thinking about how Meguru wanted her to touch her more gently I thought it might be a cope delusion that all she had to do was treat Meguru right and everything would be okay but it's interesting to see that it actually kinda lines up with what Meguru wants.

Nobody is going to mention Niji? Is she trying to gaslight Remu?

Either she genuinely believes that she's in tune with some sort of script for how everyone's supposed to be or she's deliberately gaslighting Remu and I'm honestly not sure which possibility scares me more.

Secondly, I'm assuming it was rather obvious from the start but I do want to call out the elephant in the room. If after all the parallels and obvious hints Yakou's sister is not Meguru I'll be absolutely gobsmacked. More than that, though, the series has a lot of tension in it, and one big source of it for me is the eventual absolute Titanic meets iceberg that would be the reunion between Azuki and Meguru. At the same time, I am impressed by the series still keeping plausible deniability about the fact.

I'm not even sure if I'd call it plausible deniability at this point, more like the author understands it's so obvious we don't need to be spoonfed info about what's right there in front of us.

That too, but what I mean is that with the way Yakou's sister's name was yet to be outright said, and Azuki has not yet spoken the name Meguru aloud, there's still the possibility that it'll be like "Oh, that's my sister, David!" or some such and it'll still technically be "valid". And I find that impressive and amusing.

She's said Meguru's name a couple times, it just seems to have slipped through the cracks (especially the second time where Remu couldn't pick up on any of Komugi's rant because she was talking too fast). I just wonder what'll happen first, a third mention of the name that Remu actually picks up on or Komugi and Meguru running into each other by happenstance.

Huh.
Still a good time, but that felt very tame compared to the oneshot :D

Perhaps it is, perhaps the author is pacing it out a bit now that they can build things up over the course of multiple chapters instead of just one. I guess it could turn out either way so I'll simply wait and see for now.

For years I was all-in on the HajiMomo train, even after the Kyou death reveal, but just last week I read "The Summer You Were There" and I cried and cried and it's one of the greatest manga I've ever read and now I got traumatic PTSD and I'm not so sure if I want HajiMomo to just go out immediately. It doesn't feel so "right" anymore.

tbf, I'd say it's been long enough that even if we start moving in that direction next chapter I still wouldn't call it immediate.

IIRC Miki has had a boyfriend before, but I forget if we know how into him she was. But I'm not betting on it.

At this point I'm tempted to wonder if "boyfriend" was a mistranslation considering the lack of orientation talk (nobody even thought to warn Ayaka her crush might not be into girls, odd omission if she was dating a guy) and the anime seems to have gone very gender neutral when Miki mentioned her past.

Well idk if anyone still thought there was ambiguity to the situation but I imagine this chapter should shoot down any remaining doubts

Since nobody else mentioned it, I'll make this comment my prediction that the older sister mentioned here: https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/our_love_is_disgusting_ch01#13 is the MC's first love.
The younger sister has a different family name due to some yet to be explained shenanigans.

I'm often wrong about these types of things and probably am here too. Especially since I'm just basing this prediction on the the author drawing attention to this unnamed sister in the first chapter and it not being known where MC's first love is now.

Looks like you made a good call here lmao

Uh why would anyone think that Miki has a crush on Shiho?

Mostly copium tbh, since it really seems like it'd have to be her or Aki and that second option seems unpopular.

I don't remember if they mentioned Meguru's parents being divorced, or was that her mistress?

Considering that Meguru and Hiromi first met each other when Meguru was 10 (see chapter 14.1) I think it's a fair deduction that their parents were not together for some time.

As for the death flag comments... what are you talking about? This manga doesn't really have the kinda vibe that we should be expecting a major character death. Or any character death for that matter. Or is something going over my head?

I can't speak for everyone, but I feel like The Summer You Were There traumatized me to some degree.

Did the author ever reveal their full names?

We got Nobara Yoroizuka, but I don't remember ever learning Kurumi's surname.

I'm not sure if I could explain why, but my gut says the nurse figured out she's a succubus and has a reason to keep quiet about it.

As to why it should happen, I think Sakura thinking she's been deceiving everyone all this time when she's actually been deceiving herself would be the most delicious irony.

Was eagerly waiting for the 2nd chapter of this mess. It's a slow march to catastrophe and I can't help but watch!

And now I'm eagerly waiting for the 3rd chapter! I have a feeling the ride isn't gonna let up any time soon and I'm all for it.

At what point do we put the incest tag on the whole series and not just specific chapters?

Looks like another group picked this back up over on mangadex. Does that mean we'll be seeing it here too again? (Not that it matters, I'm fine with reading on either site)

Doesn't the "childhood friend never wins" meme mostly apply to het rom-coms? The childhood friend is rarely a romantic rival anyway in yuri.

But more importantly, I just don't see the relevance here, as there's more at stake than Hinako's romantic preferences. A "win" for Shiori would mean Hinako's demise, which seems to me like a bigger issue than Miko's "loss" to Shiori.

I'm still rooting for Miko here, but it's not entirely impossible that Shiori just might in the future decide that she has better things to do than eating Hinako.

Every chapter I like Miko more

what's all this TSKR?

Short for たすかる (tasukaru), it's generally used to mean "blessed" or express gratitude in vtuber fandoms.

Heavier unrequited stuff aside, I kinda hate riddles like the one we just saw. They basically just boil down to "guess which way the creator wants you to interpret the riddle" instead of having an actually intuitive answer.

Fuuko is selfish.

All three of them are selfish.
