Ohmygod seeing characters use masks because it's more up to date feels so weird. I was wondering why until the credit page

I was kinda half-expecting the mask reveal to show something more... dramatic, I guess? Like a scar or something, that might have been why she was so shy about her classmates. So in that regard, I was a bit amused by that not being the case. On the other hand, I still liked this direction, too; sometimes it's not all that dramatic, and people are just living their lives. Plus, covid. So yeah, short and sweet, would love to see more of these two, but what we got was good already.

I would call this a masterpiece one-shot

A short story about two individuals passing notes being written and constructed by two individuals passing short story notes is so meta and good, of course it'd win some kinda prize.

Honestly, I still wear a mask when I go out. It helps with easing my anxiety with being in public.

I should start wearing one again at least at school, it's crazy how much more comfortable I am with a mask on

But there's also this thing where people make expectations/assume what you look like and I don't want to "let anyone down" if they somehow see me without it. It's terribly hard to have bad self-confidence/social anxiety lol

Nice story, but are they living in some sort of oppressive religious ninja society?

The credits page makes fun of the timing, but I actually love that there are a few COVID-related manga!

I keep a disc of some COVID era entertainment, as a reminder of what this unique time (hopefully...) was like, what we were feeling, how we coped, and where we found our strength to persevere and look forward to a future.
