It's fine for a one-shot like this. My only complaint is that the last few pages could spare us the detailed "breakup" stuff and just flash some wholesome moments of their new life together.

Kasumi also dropped an "I love you" to Aki while she was staying at her place. Platonic as it may have been at the time, it was definitely affectionate.

Just so you know, a highball in Japan isn't the same as a highball in the West. We call highball any cocktail made of a non-alcoholic drink like fruit juice or soda mixed with a little liquor. In Japan, the highball that everyone knows (and is served in bars and izakayas everywhere) is always made by adding carbonated water to whisky and serving the cocktail in a large glass full of ice. this is a good point. maybe it's not that it was empty but the issue is how fast it all happened imo. and i guess it's fair to say one doesnt need to have feelings for someone before dating them. i just didnt like this story that much

Yeah I don't know about this one, like I get it's a one shot but it still felt super rushed. That girl should've just minded her business and let things happen on their own. That kiss at the end felt...performative, it felt like that thing that some straight women do where they kiss another woman in front their boyfriends and other men for the shock factor, it didn't feel genuine. But who knows maybe she did develop feelings for her and all this needs it's a part 2. Also did anybody else get like a Nana vibe from this? I'm sorry I know I've said this before about other stories, but all roads always lead me there lol.

Playing project sekai recently and Kasumi and Ali reminds me of Shizuku and Airi. Kasumi seems just a little aloof but loving and loyal af and will try to look past your misdeeds. Aki, a slightly short...tempered but caring one which keeps the aloof one in check and looks out for her.
