It's love between two girls, it's yuri

I checked some JP sites and this doujin seems to have "crossdressing" and "shota" tags, unsure if the yuri tag is really right for this one.

Other sites don't really take gender identity into account and just categorise things with "what has what junk", which naturally doesn't fly with the Dynasty staff.
The yuri tag is a tricky one to call tho, since genderwise, it's girl on girl, but pornwise, it's "girl with a dick", which for futa we tag seperately from yuri (unless it's a seperate relationship or the futa part comes later on or in a specific chapter). It's hard to call since whatever other explicit trans stuff we have on here has tags for other genres listed either because it covers multiple relationships or, in the case of that one Love Live Sunshine webcomic, it's very ambiguous what the genre actually is.
edit: One way to go about it would be to use the Not het tag like After School Mate, which is about the relationship between a cismale and transmale but isn't currently tagged with Yaoi (though that might just be cos it's not clear where the romance is going currently). Up to the admin, though.

Personally I think "Yuri" and "Transgender" work fine here.

There's plenty of futa on here, but I think this might be the first trans hentai on the site. It's so rare. The other Lily Hoshikawa h-doujins are pretty awful, so I'm surprised we got one at all.

Seconding this, I often see Futa and Yuri tagged together on Pixiv. Which makes sense to me since I've always viewed Futa as Female.

That was about why yuri and futanari both need to exist. I don't really care what the specific tag is named, as long as there is a tag to indicate what genitalia is involved

I'd weigh in on the side that futa and yuri should generally remain separate with considerations for if a work is clearly aiming to be yuri genre fiction. With rare exceptions, such as the Love Live Sunshine doujinshi by Mikan mentioned above, futa has been historically and still is a very distinct, very fetishized genre consumed as het porn. Basically, futa is a commercial genre of het porn and it's weird to tag it as yuri.

This happens because the Japanese government - and a lot of the people, as an extension - don't officially recognize gender reassignment until bottom surgery has happened. 3D AV with trans actresses is tagged with both "Transgender" and "Crossdressing", even if the actress is clearly transitioning with HRT and has breasts and stuff.

Definitely disagree with that. Tying tag usage to the "meaning of the genres" will just lead to disagreements because those are a matter of interpretation. For instance, I think that there isn't anything within the yuri genre that excludes it from any futa work that doesn't involve men and there isn't anything within girls only works in the futa genre that excludes them from being yuri.

I say that tags exist to inform people and that's it. And informing people that a work contains both girls with dicks and girls being gay is equally important, thus both Futanari and Yuri tags should be used at the same time. If it doesn't include girls being gay then you take out the yuri tag. Etc.

Well, Dynasty finally has its first porn including a trans girl. Too bad it's loli stuff, haven't even opened it cause I don't wanna see that. It was always funny to me that almost every image someone like maiqo has drawn except the things involving trans girls was crossposted here, and I was always wondering how it was gonna be tagged if it ever actually made it here (I'm guessing that's why it hasn't made it here). Fact of the matter is, if you're so not okay seeing a girl with a dick, but you also for some reason wanna click something tagged as transgender and lots of sex, then you're not very smart. Tagging for each individual page that a dick occurs on is absolutely ridiculous, and tagging as futanari is vile, since people are constantly so adamant that that's not the same thing.

Basically it's a question of whether NSFW works involving trans characters should be tagged as Transgender+NSFW+Yuri/Yaoi/Het (assuming there's no seperate yuri/yaoi/het pairing in the same work) or as simply Transgender + NSFW. We could potentially add tags for transcentric subgenres (eg. Trans-yuri) as better indicators of content, but there might not be enough works to warrant those just yet.

Would Girldick or Unmodified crotch (to be more inclusive of transmasc people) not suffice?
It's kinda weird to not tag trans girl smoochin' another girl whether cis or trans as yuri. If there's a need to have a distinction the Transgender tag already does that. So the point of contention is inclusion of viewer-unwanted body parts, so that's what should be tagged.

As a lily x yugiri fan, I'm surprised I hadn't seen this doujin before (hopefully this means we'll get more in the future).

I believe people are overthinking things.

The purpose of tags is to inform people on what the story contains, not to make a political statement.

As long people are able to figure out what the story is about, the tags served their purpose, even if they aren't completely correct.
