The bullying part was rather ham but described something basically realistic, but the "you need to be a live in caretaker for an attractive older woman" is more egregiously a trope.

That said, I enjoyed Can't Refuse The Lonely Girl despite the blackmail trope in that being a hella contrived excuse.

I heard that this series originally a light novel like Adachi and Shimamura, that's pretty cool more light novels getting manga adaptations.

Yeah, I'm fine for trope setups if the series can rise above the trope like Can't Refuse or Handsome Girl and Sheltered Girl

Outside of dedicating entire chapters or arcs to it, what would have made the bullying part less "ham"?

For those "complaining" about Ayu's new style:

We have a countryside girl leaving her hometown due to prejudice from her "friends," and she has no clue about how living in the big city works. I have acquaintances who are from the countryside and they have almost no clue about what's living in a big city at all, so this is kind of relatable.

For those "complaining" about the plot:

It's not like we don't have self-insert/metalanguage in other mangas, games and animes. We just needed an excuse for Ayu to be able to live in the big city and earn "honest" money (I won't say being an escort isn't an honest job, but I don't want to start a discussion about prostitution here).

As for me:

Damn, why does it have to punch me in the gut like this, with all the bullying stuff? I'm not going to dwell in my past, but damn, it was so relatable, even after 20 years since then. I think I'd be happy if a classmate stood up to "defend" me back in the day, even if it was purely to pity me...

Ah yeah, another manga adaptation, this have a LN with 2 volumes so far, and there is 5 chapters translated for this, tho i haven't read it past chapter 1, manga chapter 1 seems kinda rushed tho, but probably gonna end up reading both

For people who's complaining about how this is going a bit "too fast", do remember that this is the first chapter, and most first chapter are rather explosive. I believe the pace will settle down in upcoming chapters.

And lol cut the girl some slack guy, she's literally a country girl moving to a big town, her taste in fashion is obviously lacking somewhat.
Also her cousin is great, I laughed whenever she threatens the author.

Anw, I think this series has great potential to be amazing, I'mma following it. Thanks for scanlating this series!

I'm like 17 pages in and this is hard to read. Not really because of the topic, but something about how fast everything is escalating and how ham-fisted it feels thanks to that is almost making it feel like a parody of itself, I guess to put it in layman's terms its kinda cringe lol. I'll keep reading though and see if it gets better.

The writing feels almost like how a mainstream American comic would handle it, though it's not AS bad. At least the artwork is fine.

Marked Comedy and Drama. I wonder if the drama elements will have been setup, rapidly fading before author-herding hijiks. Though the setup provides motivation for Acchan to not "come out". I think she hasn't even told her cousin, after the trauma of school and her parents; cousin is dealing with a Mysterious Runaway rather than "expelled gay teen", from her POV.

I cannot wait to read the manga where a mom slaps the daughter and the daughter slaps back. Just once.
