That's just the official online platform, not the place the manga is actually serialized in. Those sites are usually several chapters behind raws. The series is up to chapter 19 with this month issue of YuriHime, and actually ending next chapter.

They're related in the way that the 3 of them are published by Takeshobo (2 of them in Storia and this one in Gammaplus)

Wasn't just MU, but Anilist too which is actually more careful with the information, since unlike MU you can't just edit it out because mods actually gotta review info even if you source, there were retails marking it as completed too, so thats is where all that info comes from, and iirc one of Hibiki tweets

But yeah, serie did "end" with only 1 Volume, which was just a compilation of these chapters, but it resumed last year, on August 6th since it was picked up as a continued serialization, here is the tweet by Hibiki with a "new series announcement" saying that it was given the chance to draw a sequel for this, which is what we're currently getting https://twitter.com/Aoto_Hibiki/status/1546097491439136769
(I got the tweet as a response when they approved the status edit i did in Anilist)

Though seeing that the serie is completely under Compass Comics now, it was most likely them that wanted to continue the work, since the individual chapters were republished with the new publishing label up to chapter 9 on July 14th, 2022, then continued with the new chapters starting in August 6th with chapter 10 in a biweekly schedule

(Though Amazon still have 2 versions of Volume 1, one under Galette Works which is not for sale anymore, and the other under Compass )

TLDR; serie ended, a year later Compass fully picked up the serie, republished all the chapters under their label and serie got a continuation

I thought chapter 12 was the end of the manga.

If you bother checking the Table of Content that is in Chapter 12, you will notice that Volume 3 go from Chapter 12 to 16 + Extra, and that's just it

It was removed because the period to read it free ended (tho currently there is nowhere to find it, since there is no volume either yet), probably gonna happen with chapter 5 too when the next chapter get published, comic pixiv have a period of time were you can read them and then they get removed, but usually only tend to affect middle chapters, since is a reason so you go buy the volume

(a thing in alot of these publishing websites, keep first few and last few, and all in middle is gone or paid only)

I don't think it just being "Gundam Utena" is terribly likely, with all the political stuff going on in the background. Not to mention that Miorine and Suletta are basically nothing like Utena and Anthy

Ah yeah, i missed a few words, but that was mostly going for alot of comments i read so far outside here already labeling this as just that, based just on the 1st episode without seeing anything else but the references, but like you said, characters are different, and Gundam always having all this political stuff there, whether it goes heavy into that or not, though i wouldn't fault them, with how many references it have in the first episode, or influences later it may have, it can be misleading to whatever the aim is at the end

New Gundam, definitely inspired by Utena, and the resemblance was clear enough to trend on twitter in Japan by the time it aired, not a bad thing, so far is good, but since is only 1 Episode so far, beside Prologue, i'll hold on it, depending how all of this is done, so it doesn't end as just "Gundam Utena", because this can be more than just that, influence and all most likely happened because the writer did 2 of the Light Novels of Utena

Yep, technically adaptation ended this month with Chapter 15 in the Manga Up / マンガUP mobile app (chapter currently is paywalled, and missing the 2nd half due to some changes), it was published in gangan online too, but like alot of stuff there, is behind by some chapters since is mostly reuploads of Manga Up, though the date for the final volume will be announced later

I wonder why the grp translating this jumped 39 & 40 but returning with 19 at mangadex? lol

I remember i asked about that once in their discord when they uploaded 39-40, but forgot the reason, or probably there wasn't one lol

Though while is a big jump, if you have read the messed up order of the webcomic and magazine chapters, the skip isn't technically that big now, since is 2 chapters missing (28 and 38) cuz they are extras from the volumes that most likely have that extra important story, though is nice to see the webcomic chapters being redrawn in the volumes and the chapters actually having an order and following a "story" somewhat, this was posted once in their discord which is an updated version of the image in the fist page here

With chapter 21 raws out since last month (chapter 21 released in Dengeki Daioh "g" vol.105 2022/7 issue last month), seems Chapter 22 is going to be the final chapter, which release at the end of this month

Yes is completed with 6 chapters, bookwalker, booklive, cmoa and other japanese retail sites have it completed with 6 chapters too in any case, it ended on september 30th on Japan, Chapter 6 in english from Renta was released during march i think

Yeah manga adaptation ended with this volume, so there is 4 chapters + extra left , and the LN still ongoing (and pretty sure in the toc is supposed to be Afterword (あとがき) instead of Afterward <- fixed)

This series seems really solid. If possible I would like to check out the original novel... If I can actually read Japanese or find Chinese translations...

There is a english fantranslation for the LN, which is nearly done with the Volume 1 of it, manga is adapting 1 LN chapter to 1 manga chapter

the original original would be the WN but author deleted most of it after it started publishing as LN
