This pandemic is awful for hearing-impaired people, yes. I am one, and I work in a pharmacy. Lipreading has been a very important part of communication for me, especially since I only have one hearing aid -- too poor to get the other one fixed, let alone get a decent set.

Most people don't think about how important hearing and sound are to functioning day to day. I've taken a good deal of discrimination because of it, too.

Even though I understand what you mean, there have definitely been times when I was just looking around, while my friend was at the counter (or the other way around), so it's not really such an outlandish or manga-only incident XD

But Saki could have been paying a bit more attention to whether Kanon had finished her purchase (and definitely not leaving), since Kanon would have a hard time spotting her in the midst of a crowd.
