That title means not what I thought it meant.
Not: "What will it take to make you leave?"
...but rather: "Can I get a to-go order of You?"

Cleverly done.

Im never sure how i feel about trying to represent accents - usually with an american one.. It sometimes works but often seems very wierd. I also dont like the use of americanisms like a cup o joe or space cadet- I mean this is set in japan- it makes it TOO american and works at odds with its setting. At least In my opinion.

I know thats somewhat subjective, but i profer translations that aren't quite so loose.

That said I really liked the story and setting and characters.

That was just adorable. Goes to show a super simple premise can still be so sweet when done well

If this became a series, be sure to throw in the “Aaaaaangst” tag, not to mention “Useless Lesbians”.

There’s gotta be more plot twists than what’s spun already… switching jobs, pursuing studies… route changes (probably has to struggle to stay on same delivery route without tipping off the boss). Oh, and the harassment bit to both characters would be fun and stereotypical.

This authors a bit of a mixed bag for me, on one hand Hello Melancholic is amazing, well the main couple is I could do without the side couple. But then stuff like this just fails to pull me in, with it's odd dynamic.

Ok. This whole thing was cute, but I think the second panel of pg.32 is what cemented it as a favorite.

"Didn't we have a whole conversation about how it's rude to do this?"

"Your right, but shut up."

I need more.

ugh, freaking adorable, women in uniforms ugh
also yes that thing about thinking you're being as sleazy as the unwelcome men who hit on you when you want to ask someone out. it can be a real dilemma at times since you can empathise with just trying to go on with your day without having to reject some random.

Holy moly, give me more of this. Best I've read in a minute.

Vehemently disagree with everything written here. I see Scottish accents used as much as American ones, "space cadet" isn't an Americanism, and what you're asking for is to just kill the tone of speech of all translated media. If you want the authentic experience of reading about a Japanese setting, I strongly recommend learning Japanese and reading your manga that way. You're not getting an authentic experience whether or not the accent is localised, because if it's not localised, the alternative is just not giving an accent to a character that had one, and to use utterly sterile language when the character was originally saying more expressive phrases that don't translate literally.

Moreover, there's not even anything Japanese about this particular manga for the accent to be 'at odds with the setting'. There's not a single clue to the setting; for all you know, it could be set overseas, since there are no Japanese cultural idiosyncrasies present. That it's set in Japan is merely an assumption made based on the author being Japanese, and while it's a safe assumption, it is in no way a necessary one.
