It’s really nice that we’ve been getting more manga that center around characters who aren’t from stereotypical happy nuclear families, I appreciate getting more representation of folks who don’t fit into that mold and have had to grow up shaped by some not so great institutions that take care of kids.

This manga has a pretty good story. The mother doesn’t give two shits for her daughter who resorted to running away from home. Interesting how the MC falls through the cracks and social safety nets, but the editor somehow turns out alright. I’d be interested in reading about a friend of the editor who didn’t turn out so well, yet still influences the MC.

An excellent chapter, I enjoyed the part of the mother driving home in her own, loudly and recklessly, way.

Also, on a more serious note, let me remark that this page was an uncomfortably accurate depiction of situations where able-bodied and -brained people mean well but have no idea how to actually be helpful to the disabled person in front of them.

I skipped this at first because of the dumb title but in hindsight I should have known better that these English titles of Japanese works are just nonsense sometimes :P

... anyway, I also enjoyed this a lot... but I was also confused as all hell about the "names" they kept referring to. I saw the explanation in the comments but I think it's a bit silly that translation team left that as it is... it's basically leaving a random untranslated word in there for no reason.
(Unless the reason is lack of space, some of these text boxes sure looked tight :P)

I just caught up too and I have to say, the inclusion of a Comic Lo equivalent on the last page of chapter 18 is pretty ominous. The page is torn out and looks like a warning included in the anthology, but I really wonder where the story is about to go

Edit: guess it wasn't too bad? The creator who signed the page wasn't from that particular magazine and ended up following the warning, so... good morals ahead?

Seems like a decent guy, buuuuut writing an eromanga character based on a kid seems pretty sketchy

Given Seiko's age, the events of that flashback were 5 or 6 years ago. I wonder if this guy is still writing for the magazine. I wonder if that comment about "4 volumes" was in the original or a slight liberty by the translators, considering this manga was finished last year at 4 volumes.

Well, I managed to endure this up to chapter 19, but the combination of terrible artwork and dull storytelling with no progress between the main characters made me decide it's not worth it.

I think the implication here is that boys buy pervy magazines for "consumption", but cannot take them home where their parents would find out, so they just dump the mags down by the river. Maybe that's where they read them, too, because it's so secluded?
