Well that was rather strange, cute in a way I suppose? At least they seemed to move onto becoming individuals and stayed lovers. So I...think it ended well...?
At first the concept was really weird and creepy, so I wasn't sure about continuing on, but I'm actually surprised by the direction they took it! It's nice to see them "grow up" and embrace their individuality, but also to see that they still do think the same in some ways. It was a very sweet end.
I feel like this had a better execution than the "twins struggling to be the same' yuri stories where they actually are, you know, twins.
Surprisingly great.
I'm glad that they didn't "do it." Having sex, when you're not ready (emotionally mature) never ends well. Now, they can get to know each other as individuals, and fall in love all over again.
I'm glad they addressed this seriously. I've seen this extreme matching trend and always thought it felt toxic. They showed the necessity of autonomy and being yourself with the one you love perfectly, and how it's okay to share something without obsessing over similarities. The angst didn't feel too in your face and the end felt bittersweet but satisfying, even though all they did was smile; might've had to do with the build up.
