This is fun and all, but does some serious yuri development between the main characters actually happen in the later chapters or this is one of those gag mangas with literally no romantic development at all? Not complaining, I'd keep reading either way, but it'd be nice to know.

My guess is we’ll see some development but it will be mostly gags till the final volume where all the couples plots will be wrapped up

It does get more serious, but of course it's not resolved yet. A bunch of side couples, some of which you haven't even seen yet, will get developed, too. I can't make a prediction for how it'll turn out though or how far off that still is.

I think the only big confession was when Yokoe's brain short circuited and she spend the whole chapter asking Kei for marriage, and I think the idea is that she doesn't remember doing it.
