Too bad there isn't all that much of that. We have opinions that are neither explained or even well thought out. And we have people -- including you -- using this story as an excuse to get on a soap box about their personal beliefs regarding ages of consent and will-somebody-think-of-the-children and hiding it under the fig leaf of criticism. Probably because they don't get enough visits if they post their diatribes on their tumblr blogs instead.
I don't care what anyone thinks, and is shown in sexual situations I consider that child pornography
Good, then I won't offend you when I say you are an idiot and disgusting for equating the scribbles in a Japanese porn comic about the consensual relationship between fictional characters with real-life documented rape on actual children.
We'll I liked it. I thought the teacher was really cute.
age gap is hot only if i mean if this was like ( high school teacher student relationship thing ) it would be awesome plus SEXY , but that Shizuku kid she is like 10 yeas old or something she doesn't even have boobs yet for god sake ! XD it looks like a child rape to me this is totally disturbing tbh.... 10 point's to the art tho

Omg... my dad walked in my room when I was on http://dynasty- scans.com/chapters/in_the_rain_and_cold#12 I didn't exit it because I was too busy eating peanuts. It was so awkward, I was just smiling. SO KIDS, REMEMBER TO CLOSE AND LOCK YOUR DOOR BEFORE READING YURI!!
bad timing XD

In this doujin, we have an adult authority figure using her position to get alone with one of her underage students, doesn't respect the student's physical boundaries, uses cheap tricks (such as being physically intimate with another of her students) to confuse and upset the student, and of course makes no bones about pushing emotional intimacy on someone who's immature, confused, and under her authority.
It is by no means impossible to write a romantic teacher-student story, I'm pretty sure there are a few on this site. But this is not one of them, because the teacher acts in a way indistinguishable from a predator. At best, she's an irresponsible spaz who leaves a trail of broken hearts among the teenagers entrusted to her care. That would be bad enough, and I find that a charitable interpretation.
but this is so bad because...
the kiss with the other girl really looks like a KISS based on...Is this really so difficult? You should've learned this in middle school. If you cannot be bothered to formulate a basic criticism then maybe dial it down with the wannabe literary critic routine people have going here, yes? Not much effort, indeed.
I'm saying I agree with post above, no need to repeat :) And yes, its difficult to me write something better because english its not my native language and I'm still learning, but don't worry, I know how to make a critic :)

Something really important is to keep the critcism grounded on the goal the artist had when doing his or her work, in this case you're projecting your values onto the work because the artist only did whatever he/she found appealing/would sell well.
With this in mind a more adequate critique would be that the story is shallow, unidimensional characters and all around lazy.

The predator interpretation is retarded because the story very clearly if awkwardly makes clear that the teacher is actually in love with the student. Although she does abuse her power, it's difficult to think of her as malicious because if anything the teacher is more helpless and immature than the target of her affections. It'd be a disaster if a teacher that dumb actually existed but that's why this is fiction. What's the point of getting all uptight and morally righteous about an interpretation that's not even correct?
Yes, the sensei is an irresponsible spaz. So what? The point is that this story isn't any more morally questionable than any other teacher-student story out there (seriously), just more pornographic and comparatively less well-written (big whoop, half of this website is porn), so a minor piece like this really is not worth the blowup in the comments you guys have given it.
(I can't believe some idiot on the last page actually pretended this story was anywhere close to the worst stuff on this site. Redirect all your complaints to Oshikko Sensei please. lol, Jesus Christ.)

It is truly a shame the first thread has been lost to us, it was really something.

I was speaking in general and I don't have a tumblr account
I wasn't talking about the doujin at that point.
I never said it was the same thing.
Personaly i think the only crimes this manga pulled was being to bland and generic.
I'd like to just mention this again.
Please don't argue.

This also, but not sure how it is in comparison with Oshikko Sensei (never read it)
Hmm, I got a bad feeling when it said "to be continued". The teacher says Takeyama just gave her a peck on the cheek and on page 1 in the bottom left panel she doesn't have her arms around the student, but on page 8 she does. That could just be Toono misremembering what happened though. I've become paranoid after accidentally running into my first ever NTR yuri doujin a couple weeks ago but I'm hopefully, and probably, just thinking too much into it.
I feared that this day will one day come.
The day that the yuri-community developes standards...!
Lol honestly I laughed when I saw that there were 2 new pages of comments...
Im gonna take a stand too, I dont like futanari, I have lots of reasons why...but im not gonna go to a futanari tagged story and tell them why they shouldnt like it...<<< im getting the feeling we're dealing with some serious trolls now :-P lol

Ahaha I think the reason why this one-shot blew up instead of those two is because this is a lot tamer thus there is a wider audience. The sex is only at the end so people can read through, skip the sex and still get the general storyline. With Flower Picking and Oshikko Sensei, people can pretty much tell right away if they'll hate it, so they then stop reading and flush it away from their memory. I've read a lot of fucked up shit and man, Oshikko Sensei definitely is among the top. I still can't believe I read all the chapters of that...I don't think I'll ever get used to urethra play....
I feel like "In the Rain and Cold" wasn't trying to be as controversial and tried to create a plot (a horribly written one), while the other two were obviously written for the lolicon sex. When it's just porn, people don't care as much, but if there is even a hint of a storyline, people begin to take it "seriously".
In case someone misunderstands, I'm not saying people shouldn't be discussing real life issues that come up in a stupid manga. I think it's great and please carry on. These are just my thoughts on why this one has a whopping 80+ comments vs the other ones mentioned :)

There was a previous thread for Sensei. But there was so much vitriol that it went bye bye.

I must be quite jaded cuz I've read almost everything here and nothing has made me uncomfortable in any way. For I am a man who dare venture into the dark hellholes of hentai (anime) in a blind and relentless search for yuri, got so used to everything I found that nothing seems to faze me. I've seen it ALL. I have had way too much free time... Yeah, went a bit offtopic

It's a bit disappointing coming from this mangaka, since All of These Names, Sweet Nail, and Love Strategy are all some of my favorites and even as porn they provide a touch of romance and a much better atmosphere to em (writing is not bad in any of em, just fine at best).
I love age gap as a story premise and Aoko as an artist. True, this isn't her best work, but the only real problem I had with it was that Shizuku reciprocates far too abruptly. If the story had been a bit longer and she had had time to develop a more believable affection in return, there would've been no problem. She may be young, and Sensei may be irresponsible, but that doesn't mean it can't become something solid and enduring over time.
As for the debate, I'll only say that I think it exposes some interesting generational gaps that now exist in yuri fandom - and the very fact that yuri fandom is now old enough to have generational gaps is a sobering thought to an old hand like me.
Looking forward to the continuation. Thanks as always, Yuri Project.

I'm sad I missed it! D:

Yeah rereading the other works, I get what you mean. As others have stated, if the mangaka spent a little more time building up Toono's feelings, I don't think there would be as much animosity. I'm thinking the sequel is supposed to fix it, but it's probably too late.
finally a new age gap manga
The only thing better than the uploads is going to the forum afterwards to hear the lamentations of their women.

Replace man with woman and that's me, i have seen the best and worst of the internet so i may be a tad more desensitized than most people
but characters behave unreasonable

I'm undecided to call you a sociopath for getting your jollies from people being unhappy, or congratulate you on the Conan the Barbarian reference. Tough call.
Even though I don't really like age gap this is beautiful*nosebleed*
