I like this one a lot.
I prefer to keep the incest tag hidden.

I didn't like this story. It wasn't fluffy enough or give the characters enough development to actually care.

You are actually expecting character development from a doujin? Bruh...

Some of you keep calling this a doujin, if so then what is it supposed to be a doujin of?

Doujin basically means a self-published work, so it's not a doujin of anything. A lot of Jin's work is original doujins, in fact.

The term doesn't only refer to fan-works, although it certainly includes them.

This has incest and needs the incest tag, end of story. My best friend loves Takemiya Jin in general but loathes incest, she and people like her deserve to know when a work contains it. This is the same nonsense that has plagued the Marriage tag, and probably others as well.

Please stop obstructing the sensible use of tags based on them being "spoilers". That is the entire point of tags, to provide knowledge of a work's content beforehand.

Well, that's not the only reason. Tags are also useful in finding a work later on, when it's no longer on the first page of Recently Added. Although that still falls apart in cases like the Marriage tag since you'd do a search for Marriage and be missing stuff like The Sea, You and the Sun. That's been fixed since, but it really reveals the problem with not tagging due to "spoilers".

That only strengthens the case, since people who actually like incest stories and go looking for them would be missing out on this one. Not having the tag hurts both people who like that thing, making it harder to find, and those who don't like it, by not giving them forewarning.

Please, stop trying to impose something on Dynasty because of your selfishness or the one from your friend.

The one acting selfish is the one forcing other people to be in the dark because you personally enjoyed it.

Right you are, I got my wires crossed with that term somehow. My bad.

The twist absolutely floored me, holy shit!!
Jin bringing her talent to more NSFW themed content like this one and Graphite.....damn, I'm absolutely loving it.

Also vouching for incest to be added.

Well, you can't please everyone. I'd be upset if someone spoiled a good story because they didn't want to "keep me in the dark". Unless I specifically warned them that I loathed Incest stories.

Case in point, the sensible thing is to warn your friend about this story, since they expressed they hate it and let other people live their life as they see fit.

If someone throws a fit because they involuntarily read an incest story on a site full of porn, they only have themselves to blame.

The incest being a huge part of the strength of this story, spoiling it would be a shame in my opinion.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing at all. I think the main purposes of tags are categorisation and warnings, and need to be applied with that in mind, rather than worrying about spoilers. If there were a way to hide tags, or certain classes of tags, that would solve the spoiler issue as well, and I recall someone floating the idea a while back. No idea how difficult (or not) it would be to apply here on Dynasty though.

I don't understand why people make "spoilers" a big deal?
If the story is good, you should experience the entire of it, not just the plot.
Seriously, some people bitching about spoilers after the movie was released for a month, even a year.

Unfortunately, most, if not all, of genre fiction relies heavily on plot as opposed to other aspects of the storytelling. Other stories simply lose a lot of their punch once you're spoiled.

I think a lot of stories are like that. It's ok to appreciate the narrative, or the scenarios, or character development, but the plot's what keeps us tied to the story, wanting to know what's going to happen next. So for some of us it's a lot less fun if you already know what's coming up. (But I'm not talking about the tags here, I'm with Nez and the others in that everything should be properly tagged, despite spoilers).

Isn't it a bit silly to throw a fit just because others prefer being informed?

If there were a way to hide tags, or certain classes of tags, that would solve the spoiler issue as well, and I recall someone floating the idea a while back.

There could simply be two categories of tags one can set for a story (as in, two fields for tags, instead of one), some marked as spoilers, some not.
One category only gets displayed when a profile option to display them is on. If it is off (and it'd be off by default, to appease people that get angry if they get spoiled), you'd not see them, and thus not even know there are spoiler tags.
That'd be relatively easy to implement, too.

Those of us that would prefer actually useful tagging can then use tags like they are meant to be used - to categorize and as content warnings - and those mainly concerned about spoilers can also get their wishes met.

Seems to be a compromise with no losers, aside the person needing an hour to add some fields and checkboxes.

I think you miss the point of tags being used as trigger warnings. Some people in this world have experienced a shitload of trauma in their past. This leaves them lingering with post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, panic attacks and some other psychiatric conditions. Acute episodes of such diseases are horrifying (I speak from experience), and they are sometimes triggered by situations which resemble the origin of the trauma.

So if I unknowingly read a story with rape in it, I'm at least 50% likely to have a panic attack. Sometimes it's light enough that'll just end up losing a few hours of sleep. Sometimes they make me wanna die.

The thing about triggers is that they're specific for each person. So for me, rape is almost always a trigger, but so is sex with robots or dolls (because in my case, I felt like someone trapped inside an inanimate object being used by someone else for their pleasure). People who have suffered violence by family members might have incest be a PTSD trigger. And so on.

This might sound like some rare occasional thing, but keep in mind that 1 in 6 american women are rape victims. The number goes up even more when we're talking about LGBT people (1 in 5 lesbians, and 1 in 2 bisexual women, if I'm not mistaken). And rape's just one form of violence, there are several more which can be equally damaging to your mental health.

We use trigger warnings in order not to hurt the people who have already been through too much. I think you'll agree with me that this is a more important cause than preventing spoilers.

It's been suggested for a while, but for the time being it can't be implemented. Wish it could, but it can't atm.

Many people have also asked for it not to be added, or indicated that they liked the surprise of the ending.

Please stop suggesting it, until a point in time where spoiler tags are a possibility, I won't be ruining the entire twist of this story or others with a tag.

So be it, although you must know you are dooming even the people who like incest to never be able to find this story once it has fallen off the front page. I really cannot understand the stance you have taken.

I'll throw my hat into the ring and say that, while a story's surprise factor is important, I believe giving people more information to know what they're getting into and help them seek out what they want to see trumps that, even given the technological limitations.

Like, should Yuri Kome have its Abuse and Rape tags removed just because they are huge twists that turn the entire story on its head? I think not.

Dooming, lol... It's not long enough and there's not enough incest for someone looking for it to give a shit.

"Nobody cares lol" is not a rebuttal. Incest is a small body of work, and people who like it - including myself - would be interested in knowing of whatever is available. Even if this one was not to my particular taste, it may well be to others, as some commenters have stated.

I have a great idea, let's remove every tags. Because:
Yuri - Spoiler that this is a story where a girl love another girl
Cheating - Spoiler that a girl will cheat on someone.
Adult life - Spoiler that where the story is set
Fantasy - Spoiler that the story is set in a magical world
The list goes on...
Oh and we should remove the author tag as well, since it gonna spoil whose work is it.

I think you're missing the point here. Nobody's saying we should remove all tags because the remote and unlikely chance that someone could be offended by the spoilage. Doing so would make it impossible for potential readers to know whether or not they want to read a work. Also I think the author tag's primary purpose (in addition to a URL link) is to give attribution to the author so Dynasty doesn't get accused of stealing works from other sites and claiming they made it.
