I like the art, I'll look forward to the next chapters
But I do think the mangaka is going for a comedic approach rather than a rapey approach
I think the biggest thing that makes it work as comedy without being too unsettling is how completely unconcerned Komaki is with the whole situation; no matter how far out of line Hishikawa gets, she's never more than mildly annoyed. It gives the sense that Komaki's willing to indulge her friend a little and is still able to set boundaries on how far things go.
If there's ever going to be a real relationship between the two, I really don't know how it's going to get there from here. But I'm kinda curious to find out.
