I think this is the best point. Tags are a function primarily of the search engine and are used to find content. Categorization is secondary, though is part of searching for what you want. I think it helps to consider tags from the PoV of the user searching for content. If you're searching futa, you won't find it here. If you're searching trans, this isn't what you're looking for. But it should probably come up in a yuri search.
If you think tags should be used primarily as a content warning or description, you risk ruining or polluting the search engine and hurting access to the massive yuri archive here.
On that note, you're not really going to find ecchi here either, which is generally like a weird layer applied to an entire work. Just a few NSFW panels.
