I'm definitely liking where this is going, especially since "friend-san" (wish I could remember her name) got involved.

I absolutely love this stuff, it's all through Japanese literature. However it was only reading yuri stuff like Maria-sama ga Miteru that finally convinced me that Japanese, especially high school girls, control the weather with their moods.

Ha. For me it was probably KEY visual novels. The way the visuals transition to bad weather the moment the mood gets bad is just ... funny. Although, paradoxically, it might actually be part of the setting in Little Busters ^^;

It's not just Japanese fiction. Think about how lightning behaves in every single horror or suspense movie you've ever seen. Rain shows up in the key moments in most dramas, and even many action films. Superhero films are especially fond of this - the hero's climactic confrontation with the overarching villain ALWAYS takes place in the rain.

About the story though, overall I'm glad this section is ending. It was pretty well done, but it felt sort of perfunctory, like the author just threw it in because she felt she had to. I guess it was interesting to see Yuzumori's relationship with her classmates change, and of course I can't really judge this arc until we see how it ends.

First, Ririha wants to "completely rob that which Yuzumori hold dear". And lets agree that could made Yuzumori sad and cry, right? (chap.18.2)

Second, Ririha gets annoyed when Yuzumori dont become sad (chap.25)

And now, when Ririha sees Yuzumori crying she helps her?
WTF logic is that? First Ririha tries to upset Yuzumori, and finnaly when Yuzumori gets upset she helps her...

You could say that is because Yuzumori was getting "abused" by an older girl... But c'mon... It's not like the scene was a creepy old man trying to touch her special spot! (in that case I could believe that Ririha would help because that's fucked up) The scene was: a cool looking older girl scolding a child. Teens scold kids all the time... and kids cries all the time for stupid reasons... Ririha overeacted... Even Isuzu was like "what are you doing you crazy slut!?"

But yeah, I guess Ririha is lesbian for Yuzumori after all...

I'm sympathetic to Ririha. I'm not justifying her actions, but imagine having a crush on somebody and feeling helpless because you don't know what to do with that, or how to get their attention. Then, you find out the girl you like is happy with somebody else. Some people would react by slipping away and trying to get over their "love". Ririha has her own (fascinating, IMO) way to deal with it.

Yeah, no, this manga has no room for logic anymore. Mangaka is just throwing shit on the page and seeing what sticks.
