Shitty parents. Unfortunately they exist... even if it wasn't for the "I can't accept that my daughter is with a woman"-part, people like that screw up their kids life for their own ego. :(
Why!!?!? When Hiromi's dad said "I can at least give her real freedom." I thought "HAA!! Real freedom my ass!"
Why did it have to end like this! T^T cries
Stop Fucking around and give me a damn ending. I'm tired of these 'Up In The Air' ass endings. God that shit is so unsatisfying. Even "realistic" stories have their conclusions.
Sigh whatever, it was good then it left me dangling worse than drool from a baby's mouth.
If we are going to have a realistic ending, then Hiromi's parents would probably arranged her to marry a doctor.
I hope there was an update about this story from Aya Sasaki. Did she find Hiromi? What happened to Hiromi? Are they together now or not? May it be a happy ending or another sad story, we all want to know.
It's based on a true story. It's possible they never got back together.
Where does it say that it's based on a true story?
I usually dislike open-ended conclusions, but this one made sense. Well, besides the "still hung up on girl after three years" part ticked me off somewhat. This is a sweet story and the realism injected just in the simple details of going to a nursing school and becoming nurses was nice.

First page, the text in the bar on the left side. “A true story of forbidden love.” Also next page, “True Stories” above the writer and artist credits. The protagonist is also the writer.
If you think about it the ending would be that they never met again because theres no point in creating another book which nothing happened. Finding a person in Tokyo with millions of people and hospitals is very hard. Also read the tags.
Tears are in my eyes...it was a bad decision to click on this. After all these years, it's still unknown if they're together. I'm wishing in my heart that they are.
Since I read the autobiographical tag, from the first page I was dreading what would come. It's terrible that their love was ripped apart. I'm crying...I wish the best for them and I truly hope they found each other again.
