I had the same thought, maybe they've actually been in a doomed reincarnation cycle for a long time, and only she remembers all of it. That would explain some of her suspicious behaviour - though I still hope she's the one who killed him last time because that's so juicy.

The fact that the titles has two 'Re:' makes me think there's going to be more reincarnation shenanigans. Either that fantasy world wasn't their original one either, or they're gonna get isekaid another time.

The interesting part about the two 'Re:' is that they can also be read as 'Riri'. Whatever this will mean remains to be seen.

That would make the multiple "Re" instances in the title make a bit more sense. I assumed the library scenario was just really young Demon King Ooma, but yeah, her attitude(s) make a lot more sense if they've been at this a while. Girl is worn down.

... I'm a bit reluctant though as if that's the case and Riri does remember, well, she's not exactly pushing him away, is she? Normally I'd expect an element of denial for a story that repeats cycles; here she seems in principle to be fine to go along with whatever Ooma wants out of their relationship.

maybe it is just that everytime Ooma without memories chickens out for a lifetime and it's only this time that Ooma remembers, that she's breaking the cycle of regret.

Interesting to learn that Ooma was literally just some guy. Maybe I need to go over the earlier chapters to see if it mentions how he took the throne, but I’d been assuming he was the prince or something. Errand boy in a library is almost the opposite.

I remain hesitant to say Riri killed everyone in their last life. This story just doesn’t strike me as one that wants to deal with the moral complexity of whether Ooma can or should forgive her for that. If it was just him that’d be one thing, but their whole friend group is a bit much.

By the end of Chapter 9, I personally feel like the lore could reveal that somehow Riri’s works are what caused everyone to end up in the afterlife.
